Passion for the mountains and outdoor activities of Wyoming drew both Rick and Matt to the Rocky Mountain West in 1997. While waiting tables at the same Teton Village restaurant, they learned of one another's love of skiing and outdoor pursuits of all sorts. They soon partnered up for many of their early big-mountain skiing and wilderness adventures in the rugged country surrounding Jackson Hole, during which they developed a deep passion for the area and all that it has to offer. Matt worked in the home security industry, while Rick managed local top-tier restaurants. Both vowed to stay in Jackson Hole, and dreamed of creating their own business that would allow others to enjoy this special valley as much as they did. From this inspiration, and bolstered by Rick and Matt's extensive experience in customer service and detail-oriented property care, Apex was born. Apex initially acted as a caretaking-only type of property management company, catering to customers' maintenance and vacation assistance needs. Within that time, Matt and Rick became licensed real estate agents, and established Apex as an independent real estate brokerage initially and have recently partnered with Coldwell Banker Mountain Properties to better serve our buyers and sellers worldwide. Since then, Apex has flourished into a full service real estate firm with diverse experience in vacation rentals, long term rentals, commercial property management, construction oversight, and real estate sales.
