We will continue to strive to maintain and improve the quality of our products, and to do so with the smallest footprint possible. We make our soap in small batches (20 lbs) weighed and mixed by hand, and all bars are hand cut. We intend to continue to create our soap one small batch at a time. At Bogue Milk Soap, all soaps are scented only with proprietary blends made with organic or therapeutic grade essential oils. For the original line No 1 through No 10, blends were developed for sensual appeal and many favorites emerged. With our specialty soaps, each blend is formulated specifically to suit the purpose of the soap for which it is blended... The first handmade soap made by Susan Bogue was 1973 in the Ojai Valley, CA for the small artisan shop Dos Manos "two hands" of her mother Helen Bogue.
