CAJUN LIFE

Cajuns are an ethnic group mainly living in southern Louisiana, consisting of the descendants of Acadian exiles, French Canadians from Acadia in Novia Scotia, Canada. Today, the Cajuns make up a significant portion of south Louisiana's population, and have exerted an enormous impact on the state's culture. The 700,000 or so Cajuns who live in South Louisiana make up the largest French-speaking minority in the United States.
