Dr David Bonser has more than twenty years experience as a psychologist. Beginning with volunteering as a teacher on Murdoch University's Young Autism Project in 1992, he then went on to complete a First Class Honours in Psychology and a Doctor of Philosophy (Psychology) degree. Both theses were applied in nature and examined effective instructional techniques and therapeutic procedures for young children with neurological disorders. His research took him to present at the Association for Behavior Analysts conference in 1997 in Chicago. He went onto work for the Disabilities Services Commission, The Western Australian Police Service, and for The Health Department; primarily working with young people with diverse psychological and mental health needs.
David has experience with helping people with trauma, depression, anxiety, physical illness, disabilities, familial distress, and promoting general wellbeing and physical health. He has worked as a private clinician since 2005 in both metropolitan and rural settings.
David draws from a range of therapeutic approaches to assist children and their families, such as Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Personality Theory.

Joshi Tjandra graduated from Curtin University with a Bachelor of Psychology and joins our ABACAS team. Throughout her life, she has worked with children of all ages and diverse backgrounds through planning and delivering children and Youth events at church, volunteering with at-risk individuals and working as a support worker and mentor. She believes that at the core of working with children is building an authentic and trusting relationship with them and their families. She loves watching children grow and learn how to express themselves and is passionate about helping them develop into unique and confident people.

Rachel is a Board Certified Assistant Behaviour Analyst (BCaBA), specialising in behavioural therapy with children and adolescents. She serves as a Program Manager and positive behaviour support practitioner at ABACAS, the Child Wellbeing Centre.
Rachel's passion for her work is driven by the bonds she builds with her clients, and she applies a range of empirically supported strategies and procedures derived from the principles of behaviour over the course of their treatment. She also delivers evidence-based training and consultation to families and associated stakeholders.
Rachel completed her Bachelor of Psychology at the University of Curtin in Perth, WA. As an ongoing effort to provide compassionate and up-to-date healthcare to her clients, Rachel is currently pursuing her Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) certification, as well as a Masters in Behaviour Analysis Practice with the University of Florida Tech.
When not at work, Rachel is an outdoor enthusiast who loves to hike on scenic trails and explore the waterways in a kayak.
