CIVIL STATUS

During 2007 and 2008 we have conducted this project on behalf of the European Commission, Directorate-General for Justice, Freedom and Security. The project resulted in "a comparative study on the legislation of the Member States of the European Union on civil status, practical difficulties encountered in this area by citizens wishing to exercise their rights in the context of a European area of justice in civil matters and the options available for resolving these problems and facilitating citizens' lives."... We are dedicated to provide in depth studies on all matters related to legal practice and law in action, with particular emphasis on international and procedural aspects. We are independent, neutral and non-aligned and our studies are the basis for the development of both legal and political initiatives.
