CFS commodity finance solutions, founded in 2013 by leonardo monopoli and based in lugano is a consulting company active in the commodity and export sector. leonardo monopoli gained a long and extensive experience in commodity and export finance having worked in banking and trading for more than 30 years. from 1994 to 2009 he was head of commodity trade finance at ubs lugano and from 2009 to early 2013 chief financial officer of trasteel group, lugano, a trading and investment group created in 2009 active in ferrous and non ferrous metals as well as raw materials for the steel industry. previously he worked in risk management and export finance at ubs (former swiss bank corporation) in basel and he was also managing on behalf of the creditors banks the london club debt of poland in the late 80ies. he entered into banking in 1982 where he attended the commercial education program at swiss bank corporation in zurich.
