Tom Martin is a specialist in the area of business mentoring, business and financial consultancy, and the design and delivery of technical, customer service, interpersonal skills, and regulatory training programmes. Tom designs and delivers a wide range of Continuing Professional Development (CPD), and other courses to the financial services sector, including Banks and Credit Unions. Tom also researches and produces policy and procedure manuals for Credit Unions and the Business sector. Tom continues to work with Credit Unions, Business and Community organisations to deliver ongoing GDPR compliance and best practice. Tom is an experienced finance and business professional, having worked in banking for 16 years, and as a Credit Union Manager for 6 years. Tom is a Licentiate of the Institute of Bankers, a Member of the Irish Institute of Training & Development, a Qualified Financial Advisor, a Credit Union Advisor, and holds the LIA Bridge examination in General Insurance and the Institute of Bankers Professional Certificate in GDPR Administration. Tom holds a Masters degree from UCC and is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Logistics & Transport, an Associate Member of the Institute of Road Transport Engineers an Associate Member of the Society of Operations Engineers and an Associate Member of the Association of Compliance Officers in Ireland. Tom is also a Certified Mediator with the Mediators Institute of Ireland. A published author and playwright, Tom is a Member of the Royal Historical Society, and lectures on modern history.
