Adam M. Evans

Adam M. Evans is an experienced litigator with expertise in medical products liability, environmental and toxic torts, and aggregate litigation. Adam is widely known as an authoritative voice in the legal community regarding emerging mass tort litigations as well as the science and medicine underlying the cases. Adam has been invited to speak throughout the country to educate lawyers and medical professionals about various topics relating to biomaterials science, medicine, and litigation. Adam joined Dickerson Oxton in 2022 and currently heads the firm's Mass Tort Division. Background Adam completed undergraduate degrees in English and Philosophy at the University of Missouri - Columbia in 2003 and graduated from Rutgers University School of Law - Camden in 2008. After law school, Adam entered private practice representing victims of dangerous drugs and medical devices. Over his career, Adam has represented and obtained recoveries on behalf of thousands of injured clients, including those harmed by surgical mesh products, hormone-based contraceptive drugs, defective defibrillator lead wires, robotic surgery systems, and many others. Adam regularly serves in Plaintiffs' nationwide leadership in high-profile litigations, including the Plaintiffs' Executive Committee in the Atrium Medical Corp. C-Qur Mesh Multidistrict Litigation, the Gilead Tenofovir Coordinated Proceedings (Calif. JCCP 5043), and In Re: Exactech Polyethylene Orthopedic Products Liability Litigation. He is also the co-chair of the Hernia Mesh Litigation Group for the American Association for Justice. Adam is admitted to practice in the courts of Missouri, Kansas and New Jersey as well as multiple federal District Courts and the United States Supreme Court. Adam is a member of the American Association for Justice, Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys (MATA), Kansas Trial Lawyers Associate (KTLA) and the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association (KCMBA). Mr. Evans has been recognized as Top 40 Under 40 by the National Trial Lawyers and as a Super Lawyers Rising Star every year since 2014. Jeffrey D. Rowe

Jeffrey D. Rowe is a partner at Dickerson Oxton who focuses his practice on wrongful death and serious injury cases resulting from brain injury, spinal cord injury, burns, and catastrophic orthopedic injuries. Jeff has represented clients in all types of complex litigation, with a focus on large personal injury lawsuits, including trucking collisions, product liability, medical malpractice, cases involving policyholder insurance coverage matters, and related complex commercial disputes. Having litigated and tried numerous cases to verdict in both state and federal court, Jeff's work has resulted in multiple multimillion-dollar jury verdicts and numerous seven and eight figure settlements for his clients. Jeff has handled cases in federal and state courts across the country, including Missouri, Kansas, Colorado, California, Florida, Michigan, North Carolina, New York, Ohio, and Texas. Throughout his career, Jeff has represented victims of defective products, medical malpractice, explosions, and issues arising from the negligence of professionals such as engineers and construction companies. He has litigated a wide variety of product liability cases, including automotive cases involving defective airbags, defective seatbelts, seatback failures, roof crush, and other crashworthiness problems. Jeff has made an impact on child passenger safety through his work representing catastrophically injured children and their families in numerous cases concerning defective child safety seats (child restraint systems), including rear-facing infant seats, forward-facing harnessed seats, and belt-positioning booster seats. Some of Jeff's work was featured in a 2020 ProPublica investigative article about the dangerous marketing of belt-positioning booster seats. Background Jeff was born and raised in the Kansas City area. He earned his law degree from the University of Kansas, where he was a Kansas Journal of Law & Public Policy staff member. A proud Jayhawk, Jeff also spent his undergraduate years in Lawrence and graduated from KU with a business degree. After graduating law school, Jeff began his legal career serving as a law clerk to the Honorable Charles E. Atwell in the Circuit Court of Jackson County, Missouri. He then started in private practice as an associate attorney at a Kansas City law firm focusing on civil defense litigation, including defending physicians and hospitals in medical malpractice lawsuits.
