Dr Bernard Cook

Having completed Medicine with Honours at Sydney University, Bernard trained in Anaesthetics and Intensive Care at Royal Prince Alfred., Royal North Shore and Nepean Hospitals. Prior to finishing his Anaesthetic training he completed a research project on spinal cord effects of pain with a focus on chronic pain and it's prevention and treatment. He now works in a number of large and small Sydney Hospitals with interests in Orthopaedic, Obstetric and Ophthalmic surgery. Bernard's training and experience have given him an understanding of how different we all are and an appreciation that individual patients have different needs and requirements. As a result he knows many people come to the operating theatre with anxieties around surgery or anaesthesia. With this in mind, Bernard will be ready to address your questions and concerns.

Dr Daniel Michael

Dr Daniel Michael is a registered Specialist Anaesthetist and Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA). He completed his anaesthetics training at Liverpool Hospital, and in addition, a Postgraduate Certificate of Clinical Ultrasound through the University of Melbourne. He has also worked extensively in emergency and intensive care medicine in some of Sydney's largest public hospitals. He has an interest in anaesthesia for orthopedic surgery and ultrasound guided anaesthetic techniques. Dr Michael holds appointments as a Visiting Medical Officer at several public and private hospitals throughout the Sydney metropolitan area. He prides himself on the provision of the highest quality anaesthetic care, tailored to your specific requirements. Your safety is his highest priority.

Dr Patrick Chung

Dr Patrick Chung graduated from Sydney University in 1994 with First Class Honours. He trained in anaesthetics at various hospitals including Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Westmead Children's Hospital and Concord Hospital. He was awarded his Fellowship to the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists in 2003. He is currently accredited to perform both adult and paediatric anaesthesia at many public and private hospitals including St George Private Hospital, Macquarie University Hospital, Strathfield Private Hospital, Concord Hospital and Auburn Hospital. He is keen to maintain and update his anaesthetic skills and knowledge by regularly attending various anaesthetic conferences including Neonatal Resuscitation Course 2004, Airway Management Technique Workshop 2007, Australian Society of Anaesthetists Annual Meeting 2011, Australasian Symposium on Ultrasound and Regional Anaesthesia March 2012 and the Simulation and Mastery of Advanced Airway Resources and Techniques (SMAART) course 2018. He has a keen interest in the education of future anaesthetists and is an Anaesthetic Module Supervisor at Concord Hospital. He presented at the ACI 3rd Orthogeriatric Symposium in November 2011 on Best Anaesthetic Practice for Frail Orthopaedic Patients and was an examiner for the UNDA Anaesthetic Practice vivas for medical students 2019. Dr Patrick Chung has been the co-author on numerous journal publications, the latest being "Comparative randomized study of propofol target-controlled infusion versus sevoflurane anesthesia for third molar extraction J Dent Anesth Pain Med. 2018 Jun;18(3):169-175" which was presented at the 24 th International Conference of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons in Brazil 2019. His current anaesthetic practice includes anaesthesia for both adults and children in the fields of plastic and reconstructive surgery, orthopaedic surgery, maxillofacial surgery, ophthalmologic surgery, obstetrics and gynaecological surgery and urological surgery.
