FIRE EXIT THEATRE

We believe in partnerships. We strive to invest our lives in art that matters. We want to build a community engaged in a dialogue about "the bigger things" in life... We are a theatre company whose aim is to artistically explore the world with HOPE as a focus, to CHALLENGE believers and unbelievers alike, to make choices to CHANGE... The Makers' Collective gathered in the summer of 2021. Eleven artists crossing the mediums of poetry and songwriting and storytelling and image making from Vancouver to Toronto. We gathered to generate new work and to build a community. Both have been difficult to do of late. We began with the text of Ecclesiastes as our inspiration to talk to each other and to God and to our potential audience. We wrestled with words and theology and what is left to say. Mostly we just enjoyed each others presence and encouragement to just keep going.
