She has focused her practice entirely on Chapter 7 & Chapter 13 bankruptcy since 2001. Attorney Mary Lou Burns serves the Greater Akron & Canton area, including Medina, Portage, And Wayne Counties. Prior to becoming an Attorney, Mary Lou was a Senior Vice President at a Banking Institution. Mary Lou received her MBA from The Ohio State University, and has also obtained her CPA license. Feeling the desire to take a different path in her career, Mary Lou obtained her own "fresh start" by going to law school at an older age, seeking a career that afforded her an opportunity to help other people. While practicing bankruptcy law, Mary Lou obtains satisfaction from helping people during this difficult period in their lives.
