Professor Gary Macpherson is a consultant forensic clinical psychologist. He accepts instruction from the Court, Crown Office, civil and criminal lawyers, Parole Board, Mental Health Tribunals, Social Work Services, Serious Fraud Office, and the Scottish and UK Government. He has given expert evidence to the Supreme Courts, Sheriff Courts and Court of Appeal, for over 25 years in the UK and in Europe via the International Co-operation Unit (ICU)... He has presented expert opinion to disciplinary panels for the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC), the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC), and the British Psychological Society (BPS). He was honoured with a Fellowship for his "outstanding contribution to the advancement of psychological knowledge and practice" in recognition of over 25 years of psychological evidence to the courts.
