CHARLES MURPHY

Charles Murphy, Ph.D., has served as Professor and Chair of Geology and Meteorology at Kean University, where he engaged in a number of curricular, research and student success grant programs funded by NSF and the U.S. Department of Education. He was the founding director of the NJ Center for Science, Technology and Math Education that prepared students from the northern New Jersey region for undergraduate and advanced degrees in STEM and pre-service STEM education and served as co-PI on a large NSF-funded MSP regional initiative.

DAN PASSARELLA

Dan Passarella has engaged in a successful career in and around the field of Employment and Training. Under long-term contracts within City and County Workforce Organizations, he has contributed extensively in areas of monitoring, planning, grant proposal writing and program development. His consulting of over twenty years to Post Secondary Career Schools adds an invaluable skill set and perspective for Group i&i Consultancy.

KATHY WIENER

Kathy Wiener has worked with governments, not-for-profit organizations and multi-sector community partnerships developing leadership, building community and planning for the future. She has focused on strategic learning and capacity building initiatives, organization assessment and performance improvement, leadership/board development, collaborative community planning and collective social impact spanning the fields of public health, human services and healthy communities.

Patti Pierson

Prior to beginning her work as a consultant, Patti managed public affairs for the global health program at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, where she managed media related grants and helped lead the foundation's efforts to increase global awareness of developing world health concerns. Before joining the Gates Foundation, Patti was a corporate communications manager at Netscape Communications, Corp./AOL, Inc. in Mountain View, California, where she led PR efforts for Netscape E-commerce products, managed corporate PR issues, and led the establishment of a west coast presence for AOL's philanthropic foundation. Prior to her work at Netscape/AOL, Patti represented Microsoft as a senior account executive at Waggener Edstrom Worldwide. In addition to her professional experience in the United States, Patti has traveled extensively and provided pro bono marketing and communications assistance to clients in Ghana, Zambia, Guatemala, and Peru. She currently volunteers as an advocate for children in foster care with Passaic County CASA in New Jersey. Patti received a master's in local economic development, with merit, from the London School Economics and Political Science and a bachelor's in government and international studies, magna cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame. She is fluent in Spanish.

RADHA JAGANNATHAN

Dr. Jagannathan is a professor of statistics at the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy, Rutgers University. She received her Ph.D. from Princeton University. She is a Fulbright Scholar whose research on human capital development, school-to-work transition, poverty, and child welfare has received wide attention. Her many academic awards include the Jerome G. Rose Distinguished Teaching Award, Excellence in Teaching & Mentoring Award, and several Academic Excellence Awards from Rutgers University, the DAAD Award from the American- German Scholar Exchange Program, and the Frank R. Breul Memorial Prize from the University of Chicago. Radha's evaluation research has appeared in many economic and policy journals such as the Journal of Labor Economics, Journal of Economic Perspectives, Economics of Education Review, Journal of Policy Analysis and Management, Social Science Quarterly, and Evaluation and Program Planning. She has authored a book for Oxford University Press on child welfare, and is currently writing two books under contract with OUP and Bristol University Press.

TOUFIC HAKIM

Toufic has served higher education for twenty-two years as a professor and senior manager at Jacksonville University, University of North Florida, The College of New Jersey, and Kean University. He has also held leadership positions for national nonprofit organizations in the Washington DC area, including President of the Council on Undergraduate Research and Executive Officer of the American Association of Physics Teachers. His work in education was honored by the Florida Carnegie Professor of the Year award and the prestigious American Council on Education Fellowship. Toufic has led the planning and development of hundreds of competitive grant proposals and secured tens of millions of dollars in external private and governmental funding for his own projects and institutional programs in academic research, curricular development, educational outreach and community enhancement.
