GREAT BEGINNINGS

At Great Beginnings children are invited to explore in an environment that engages and supports their natural wonder and curiosity. It is our goal to instill a love of learning that the children will carry with them throughout their lives... Great Beginnings has been providing quality care and education to children and families on the Monterey Peninsula for almost 20 years. Andrea Scott, the owner and director, opened a small family childcare business out of her Pacific Grove home in 1998. She converted a studio off the back of the house into "The Preschool Room" and provided preschool and day care for up to six children at a time. In 2003 a new house rental presented itself and Andrea moved with her family to Monterey and opened a large family daycare out of her home. She was able to hire an assistant and care for a larger group of 12 children at a time.
