Agnes is a talented design architect with 30+ years of experience and has delivered some of Grimm + Parker's most prominent libraries and civic institutions. She is a G+P Studio leader and a passionate and skilled problem solver who works diligently with our clients to develop spaces that meet their current needs while remaining flexible for future growth. Building strong client and consultant relationships, Agnes is always involved from the onset of a project working closely with every stakeholder involved through construction completion and project closeout.
Agnes has been with Grimm + Parker for over 20 years and is an active member of the U.S. Green Building Council.
A travel lover, Agnes loves relaxing on a tropical beach.
Alvin oversees all accounting functions for Grimm + Parker and supports the firm's continued success by ensuring that all financial operations function efficiently and effectively. With almost two decades of experience, he also provides financial leadership, vision, and direction to managers within the firm. A patient teacher, Alvin provides guidance and training on all accounting topics at annual Spring Training sessions at Grimm + Parker.

Annette has over 28 years of experience managing multi-disciplinary teams on projects across multiple sectors-and more recently 14 years working exclusively in both K-12 and Higher Education. She develops project plans to manage budget and schedule, leads and coordinates project design, and undergoes documentation and quality control processes. Her experience includes new construction, renovation, historic preservation, security, and interiors.
Annette enjoys spending time with her family and friends, attending live concerts, cheering on the Buffalo Bills, and taking long walks with her two dogs.
As a Principal at Grimm + Parker, Anthony provides firm-wide support of strategic planning, business development, client management, design, thought leadership and knowledge transfer. He has more than 30 years of experience as a team leader in the execution of substantial, public-facing planning and design projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Project types have ranged from master planning and feasibility studies to full-scope design including mixed-use multifamily, civic and community facilities, and a particular focus on architecture for higher education. Informed by his background as an educator and an architect, Anthony has developed refined methodologies to facilitate the engagement and the input of diverse constituents into a design process seeking solutions that result in the success of our clients, the vitality of our communities and an inspiring user experience.
The outdoors and food are constantly calling. As often as he can manage, you will find Anthony seeking adventure in both arenas - cycling, fly fishing, hiking and cooking with friends and family.

Antonio is a leader in our civic, cultural, recreational, commercial, public safety, interiors, residential and educational practices. With 24 years of experience, Antonio is the Director of Design for G+P, winning multiple regional and national AIA design awards. His notable projects include the National AIA ALA award-winner Laurel Library, Wheaton Library + Community Recreation Center, Bowie City Hall + Police Department, George Washington Carver High School, the Workforce Development Center at NOVA, Wheaton High School, The Varsity, The Culinary Arts Center for PGCC, Leonardtown Library, Elkridge Library, The Capital Region Medical Center for UMMS, Capitol Vista, and Havre de Grace Middle/High School.
He has a passion for all aspects of design including mentorship of emerging architects and developing a project's initial vision in a friendly and engaging way, demonstrating a care for scale, proportion, and contextual integration. Antonio is a strong believer that great design can be achieved with a small budget. He is also a Past President of the Potomac Valley Chapter of the AIA.
Often finding inspiration through motion, Antonio is an avid sailor and pilot.

Ashish brings 5 years of architectural experience from India and more than 20 years of experience to our clients at G+P. With a career that started in urban design and lifestyle/retail design, he brings a unique perspective to mixed-use projects in our Residential and Urban Design studio. Ashish is also a member of the International Society of Lighting Engineers and brings a focus to his work that solves design challenges at the macro and micro scale and strikes a balance between high quality design and constructability. A driven Project Manager, he thrives on his team's success while promoting a work life balance.
An artist and singer at heart, Ashish can be found painting or singing Bollywood karaoke on weekends.
Azhar has over 20 years of architecture experience and has been with Grimm + Parker for almost 15 years, serving as a Vice President and project manager in G+P's Residential and Urban Design Studio. He oversees a variety of multi-family project types including market-rate, affordable and senior housing, and is involved in projects from the initial stages of conceptual design through the final stages of construction administration. Azhar brings an attention to detail and passion for great design to all of the projects he manages, no matter the client or budget, and seeks to make each project a collaborative experience between owner, design team, contractor, and resident. His notable projects include Mira Upper Rock, Rivers Edge Apartments and Studio for the Arts, Eleven64 Apartments, and Riverwoods at Tollgate Phases I + II.
In his free time, Azhar loves spending time with his family, playing tennis, and riding his bike on Saturday mornings.
Ben brings over two decades of design and construction administration experience to his role as Specifications Writer. A member of the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI), Ben leverages his experience as an architect in the studio and in the field to support proper design execution with a clear, concise specification conveying the design intent, the Contractor's responsibilities and the Contract requirements. Ben works closely with our team to integrate ongoing research and the latest products, codes and performance criteria into G+P's design documents.
Ben is a father of four and keeps very busy outside of work; when he isn't trying to keep up with all his boys, you can find him wrenching under the hood of his 1952 Chevy pickup.
Billy is Project Manager with G+P and brings over 22 years of experience in the design and construction of educational facilities. Billy has worked on new construction, renovations and additions incorporating the latest technologies into each project. He has worked in all phases of design and possesses knowledge and understanding of challenges within school design and is a great asset to the team. Billy is responsible for overall coordination, progress of documents throughout all phases of project design and for management of the project during the construction administration phase.

Dave is a talented design architect with 40+ years of experience and has delivered some of Grimm + Parker's most prominent institutional facilities. His experience in design, project management, and construction along with a talent for listening and delivering client success, is the foundation of Dave's strong relationship with many repeat clients.
Dave has been with Grimm + Parker for over 17 years. He is an active member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Washington, DC chapter and is involved in the AIA's Architecture for Education, Architectural Design, and Lab Design Committees.
Dave's passion is the adventure of travel, whether it is immersing himself in architecture and cultures or hiking in the wilderness.

Dave is a leader in our civic, cultural, public safety, and educational market sectors, with deep expertise in higher education. With more than 25 years of design and client management experience, Dave works closely with many of our Virginia clients, including Fairfax County, Loudoun County, Northern Virginia Community College, VCCS, and Frederick County Public Schools. His notable projects include the Workforce Development Center at NOVA, the award-winning Sterling Library, Hopewell Library, the award-winning Moncure Elementary School, Lois Hornsby Middle School, the College of Southern Maryland Flagship and Wellness buildings, the NAIOP award-winning Arts and Science Building for NOVA Woodbridge, Discovery STEM Academy, and Samuel Tucker Elementary School.
When he is not managing a project or working to improve our business operations, you can find Dave cheering on his kids playing soccer, softball, basketball or track, or on the road trying to get there.
David is a Project Manager with G+P and brings over 17 years of experience in the design and construction of educational facilities and public buildings. David has worked on all phases of design and brings a collaborative and thoughtful approach to each phase. He has a strong history of repeat clients that always request him as part of the team. David is responsible for design concept, overall coordination, progress of documents throughout all phases of project design and for management of the project during the construction administration phase.

Gregg is responsible for process improvement of business operations and the management of long range revenue projections and high level financial analysis at Grimm + Parker Architects. With over a decade of experience, he is also responsible for the development of firmwide budgeting and cost analysis, works with all levels of staff to drive profitability and provide valuable insight for decision making.
Most of his spare time these days are spent with his daughter, but when Gregg has free time, he enjoys cooking, golfing, playing tennis, and spending time with family.

Jill brings more than 30 years of energy, knowledge and experience in the A/E/C Industry, managing and overseeing Marketing and Business Development for all sectors of pursuits. Working closely with the Partners and Principals, Jill collaborates in market research, strategic planning, and pursuit development and coordination for all studio locations. She is adept at managing multiple projects and priorities and strives to find new opportunities that are a fit for our firm's mission.
When not actively engaging in firm-wide marketing efforts, Jill enjoys traveling to warm tropical islands and seeking out new adventures with family and friends.
Jonathan brings 30 years of design and construction administration experience to G+P's K-12 Studio. Specializing in the design of educational and institutional architecture, he works with staff to develop contemporary ‘Next Generation Learning' environments. Jonathan has developed strong relationships with county and school representatives during his tenure at G+P and works with clients and community stakeholders to create learning environments that will serve future generations of scholars for years to come.
Jonathan plays classical, electric, and bass guitar, much to the dismay and annoyance of his family and friends.

Julia brings over 16 years of diverse architectural and interior design experience through her work on civic, cultural, educational, and institutional projects. She has become an expert at discovering the specific needs and wants of each client and project as she facilitates collaboration and decision making across diverse groups of stakeholders and community members.
With a degree in architecture and a passion for interior design, she understands the complexities and opportunities of approaching a project holistically - simultaneously designing from the outside in and from the inside out. She believes the most successful projects are ones that meet a client's present needs, plan for an unpredictable future, and are equally beautiful and as they are functional - inside and out.
Julia loves programming, space planning, selecting finishes and furniture solutions and most of all - engaging stakeholders and communities at all phases of a project from kick-off, through construction, to opening day festivities.
As G+P's library expert, Julia makes it a point to visit the local public library in every city she travels to across the county, most often with her husband and two kids.

Karen brings 30 years of experience with G+P. Karen is responsible for quality assurance of educational and institutional projects for the firm. She contributes to the development of office standards and sharing of lessons learned across our studios. Karen's attention to detail and commitment to quality assists in building project success at G+P.
Kathleen brings 17 years of architectural design experience to Grimm + Parker with a focus on K-12 projects, including two recent award-winning elementary schools in Virginia. Kathleen leads the Tysons studio with a strong commitment to collaboration in all aspects of a project's design and construction. She is dedicated to bringing environmentally friendly and high performance design to all of her projects. Kathleen also oversees a variety of projects from Higher Ed, institutional, commercial, and public safety.
Kathleen brings her creativity and curiosity to all aspects - including her love of cooking, travel, and gardening.
Don brings over three decades of experience in the design and construction of K-12 educational projects. His problem solving and project management skills are appreciated and trusted by many of the region's largest public school systems as he provides them with advice on programming, designing, budgeting, phasing, and delivering sustainable school projects. From code expertise to sustainable strategies to a detailed knowledge of construction and costs, Don enhances the value and safety of every project.
Don is a resource throughout the firm for building and accessibility codes, as well as detailing, constructability, and quality assurance. His attention to detail and commitment to best practices strengthens our entire team.
Outside the office, If he's not hitting the road to bike 40 - 50 miles or downhill skiing, or on a golf course, Don is probably cheering on his alma mater, Virginia Tech.
Kieran has focused on educational design for the last two decades, managing and leading design teams on K-12 and collegiate projects throughout the region. Kieran brings his deep experience to all phases of project design and construction, working closely with clients and community groups from the outset to build consensus and establish expectations that inform the design process and ensure aspirational, effective and thoughtful outcomes. He is passionate about engaging students and teachers in the design process, understanding their unique perspective on learning, and how their experiences and insights can shape environments to help them thrive. This passion carries through to Kieran's work in teaching classes and guest speaking in both K-12 and Higher Education settings, giving workshops, running outreach programs, and directly mentoring students.
Kieran brings a strong commitment to sustainability and has delivered many LEED-certified projects that successfully embody each client's unique value system. He is active in A4LE (Association for Learning Environments) and is a Board Member and Past-President of the Chesapeake Bay/Delaware Chapter.
Liz brings more than 20 years of experience in the design and construction of multi-family affordable housing and neighborhood development to our Charlottesville Studio. She is steadfast in her goal of delivering safe, affordable, and beautiful homes to families that previously thought quality housing would always be out of their reach. Liz compassionately listens to her clients and believes that development undertaken with extensive community engagement will result in the most dynamic and well-loved neighborhoods.
He has more than four and a half decades of experience with G+P leading the Residential + Urban Design practice of the firm. His area of architectural expertise is in housing for seniors, multi-family and mixed-use development, student residences, assisted living, and community planning. Logan has a thorough and diverse background in performing all phases of design and construction, which included the completion of over 200 projects during his long career. Logan has retired from active practice and continues in an honorary capacity as Partner Emeritus of the firm.
In his time at Grimm + Parker, Logan was a hands-on Principal with highly refined technical expertise. He was responsible for directing the activities of his design team as well as for the performance of that team and the quality of the results. He is still an expert on local and national issues on affordable and multi-family housing and is often asked to speak at conferences in that capacity.

Margaret leads G+P's Human Resources Department, working closely with all levels of staff - from supervising student interns to advising the most senior leaders within the firm. With 35+ years of diverse human resources and management experience, Margaret has been a vital part of G+P for over 20 years. She's the first contact for new recruits and an indispensable resource for all employees.
Margaret leads HR initiatives including talent acquisition, policy design, benefit design & administration, performance management, compensation and compliance issues. She is a member of Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM).
Margaret enjoys gardening and observing the wildlife in her backyard as well as escaping to the beach to unplug.
Mel is a Partner at Grimm + Parker who brings 35+ years of leadership with expertise in large-scale urban infill mixed-use residential, multi-family affordable, multi-family market rate, transit oriented and student housing projects. As a Partner, Mel champions Grimm + Parker's design philosophy of Creating Together Meaningful Residential Architecture for Client Success. Mel prides himself on working together with clients, municipalities, and communities as they work through entitlement, programming and planning, stakeholder involvement, the preparation of design and construction documents, and construction phase services.
As President and CEO, Melanie is responsible for fostering the firm's expertise of architectural design, master planning and interior design. Her over 30 years of design inspiration includes award winning libraries, K-12 schools, collegiate, cultural, civic, recreation, and public safety projects.
Working collaboratively with clients and communities, Melanie is well known for listening and learning about each client's needs and aspirations. Melanie works closely with her design team colleagues at G+P to develop thoughtful, client-centric solutions that are custom tailored for each unique project. Her design leadership has helped to guide Grimm + Parker Architects to win more than 200 design awards.
Melanie is a passionate leader who cares deeply about design, education, learning, sustainability, people, the environment, communities and adding value to public projects. She is frequently a resource to local counties seeking advice on planning, design, and budgeting. Appointed by the Governor, she served on the State of Maryland Architectural Review Board. Melanie has also served in the AIA, including two years as the Potomac Valley AIA Chapter President. Melanie has taught architectural studio design at the University of Maryland, College Park. In 2015 she gave the commencement speech at her alma mater and was delighted to connect with recent graduates.
She loves big dogs and has two: a Newfoundland and an Italian Spinone, both of whom keep her busy exploring.
Paul brings 25+ years of architectural experience focused on the design of schools in urban environments and the adaptive reuse of existing facilities to meet the demands of 21st Century Learning. Paul provides the design team with guidance and leadership on each project he works on and actively fosters a team approach to problem solving to successfully complete projects. Active in A4LE (Association for Learning Environments), Paul also works proactively with school representatives, community stakeholders and local agencies to create buildings that inspire students and invigorate the communities they serve.
Rick brings more than four decades of architectural experience in award-winning civic, cultural, public safety, education, library and recreation projects. He is respected for his expertise, project management style and knowledge of all items related to design and construction. Rick has earned the trust of his local and state government clients, delivering excellent results, whatever the project size and scope.
Integral to our firm's transfer of knowledge, Rick developed many of G+P's design standards and procedures for Quality Control, and is a trusted resource to both our clients and our internal teams.
When Rick takes a break from working (which is not very often), you'll find him jogging in beautiful Rock Creek Park.
