Late S. Kartar Singh Jassal

Late S. Kartar Singh Jassal joined Patiala State forces in 1933 as tailor master. He left his job in 1948 and opened his private tailoring shop. Maharajadhiraj Yadavindra Singh Mahendra Bahadur of Patiala appointed him as his tailor and outfitter in the year 1956. He also tailored clothes for Congress minister Sh. Natwar Singh, the brother-in-law of Maharaja Amrinder Singh. Sh. Rajiv Gandhi, the then Prime Minister of India, really liked Sh. Natwar Singh's clothes. Soon after, he also started getting his clothes tailored by S. Kartar Singh Jassal. He also tailored clothes for ex-President of India Giani Zail Singh, Governors Sh. S. S. Ray, Sh. Arjun Singh, Sh. Shiv Raj Patil and Chief Ministers S. Partap Singh Kairon, S. Darbara Singh, S. Harcharan Singh Brar and Capt. Amrinder Singh.

Rajpaul Singh

After doing his post-graduation in Commerce, Rajpaul Singh joined his father S. Kartar Singh Jassal in the year 1980 in his business. Rajpaul Singh has tailored dresses for the contingents of Indian players participating in various events like Olympic Games, Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, Hockey World Cup, Cycling Championships etc. He has also worked with Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports, Patiala and made blazers for their trainees for a very long period of time. He started a new firm of his own namely Royal Cloth Emporium which deals in clothing of a number of reputed companies of India. Scions of the Royal Family of Patiala get all their dresses made from him, especially Achkans and Jodhpuri suits. Bollywood stars like Salman Khan, Raj Babbar and Aditya Pancholi are some of his esteemed customers.
