At Architecture, etc., aka Mira Plans, we design imaginative one-of-kind projects for our clients. Here, ideas flow freely as we listen to your hopes, dreams and wishes. We also pay close attention to the building site, looking for both opportunities and constraints. When all these are woven together, magic happens. Working with people's budgetary goals, local and regional code requirements and building site conditions is important to us. Our job is to create plans and permit documents that allow the imagined to become the reality. Our projects often incorporate massive wood joinery using logs, timbers and character pieces. These special elements, coupled with impeccable design, make our projects stand out. Principal architect Mira Jean Steinbrecher leads the effort from her loft office on Whidbey Island in northwest Washington State.
