Johan Retief's grandfather, Nico Retief, opened a small garden center in Malmesbury on 31 May 1967, which was then mainly a cactus nursery. About 10 years later, he bought a smallholding outside Malmesbury to grow plants for the retail nursery in town - Malmesbury Nursery - currently the business of Johan's Dad, George Retief... Our nursery specializes in growing a wide range of trees, shrubs, grasses, and flowering plants for the wholesale nursery industry.
