Attorney Matthew Penick obtained his B.S. in Mathematics from UMBC and went on to earn an MBA from the Merrick School of Business and his JD from the University of Baltimore School of Law. After working as a law clerk in the Anne Arundel County Circuit Court, Mr. Penick started work as a trial attorney with Lawyer By The Bay on Kent Island and has represented clients in over a thousand cases in a variety of domestic, criminal, and other civil matters. Attorney Penick helps clients all over Queen Anne's County from his office on Kent Island. Attorney Matthew Penick has over a decade of legal experience advocating for families and the criminally accused in Maryland. Matthew earned his B.S. in mathematics from UMBC in 2006 and went on to teach a college statistics class. After realizing the position was not a great fit, Matthew enrolled in the University of Baltimore School of Law, where he graduated with a J.D. in 2009. He simultaneously obtained his M.B.A from the University of Baltimore School of Business. With a background in business and mathematics, Matthew is a skilled problem solver with an analytical approach that strengthens his cross-examination abilities. When handling any case - be it a family law matter or criminal charges - Matthew takes the time to thoroughly prepare and educate himself on his client's situation. Matthew takes an honest and straightforward approach to his practice - he believes in being open and frank with clients about their options and expectations. Matthew has been admitted to practice law in Maryland since December 2009. He is a member of the Queen Anne's County Bar Association, the Anne Arundel County Bar Association, and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL).
