Claudia Banks

Dr. Banks has been a dedicated veterinarian at Lexington-Bedford Veterinary Hospital since 1996. She grew up near Dusseldorf, Germany, and now resides in North Chelmsford, Massachusetts. Dr. Banks undertook her veterinary studies first at Free University of Berlin and then at Oklahoma State University. She joined us here shortly after immigrating to the US and we are so pleased she chose to practice at Lexington-Bedford Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Banks is interested in surgery, dentistry and working together with her clients to provide a long lasting, healthy and enjoyable human-pet relationship. In her spare time Dr. Banks enjoys gardening, woodworking, swimming and reading. She also likes spending time with her husband and young children, Cheyenne and Conor, as well as their cat Jack.

Dr. Adam Landy

Dr. Adam Landy grew up in Marblehead, MA. He attended Tufts University as an undergraduate where he worked in sports radio, and later studied science. He received his DVM from the College of Veterinary Medicine at St. George's University in 2012. Along with Dr. Connolly, he studied in Grenada, West Indies, and North Carolina State University's College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating from veterinary school, Dr. Landy completed a rotating internship at Iowa State, followed by a radiology internship in San Diego. After moving back to the East coast, Dr. Landy worked for nearly 6 years focusing on ultrasound and internal medicine at the Animal Ultrasound Clinic. His professional interests range from ultrasound to complicated medicalcases including gastrointestinal and liver disease. In his free time Dr. Landy loves to cook, sing, draw, play recreational sports, and watch his beloved Celtics. He also loves spending time with his family and pets. He is excited to join Lexington-Bedford Veterinary Hospital's wonderful staff, and take care of your precious family members.

Dr. Jessie Fix

Dr. Jessie Fix graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 2006 with a master's degree in pre-veterinary medicine and a minor in marine biology. She attended Ross University of Veterinary Medicine and spent her clinical year at the University of Minnesota. She graduated in 2012. Dr. Fix practices preventative health care, has a passion for the management of arthritic patients, and has a strong interest in exotic, small mammal, and avian patients. Her free time consists of crafting, swimming, relaxing up North, and spending time with her fur babies (dogs, chinchillas, and gerbils).

Dr. Lauren Steigerwalt

Dr. Lauren Steigerwalt grew up in various towns around Massachusetts, and then completed her undergraduate degree at University of Pittsburgh. She returned to Massachusetts for veterinary school at Tufts University, where she took a special interest in exotics, nutrition, behavior, and community veterinary medicine. While Dr. Steigerwalt loves dogs and cats, exotics are her favorite. She has completed additional training in exotic animal medicine, as well as wildlife and zoo medicine. She has been involved with local small mammal rescues and especially loves rats! In addition to her clinical work in New England, Dr. Steigerwalt enjoys going on trips to provide access to veterinary care to large and small animals in under-served areas. In her spare time, Dr. Steigerwalt loves hiking, camping, horseback riding, diving, and cooking. She also enjoys hosting board game nights as well as spending time with her family, cat, and rats.

Dr. Megan Connolly

Dr. Megan Connolly was born in Waltham, MA and has been a resident of Nashua, NH all her life. Megan completed her undergraduate studies at the University of New Hampshire where she was also a member of the women's basketball team all four years. She received her DVM from the College of Veterinary Medicine at St. George's University in 2012. Her three preclinical years took place in Grenada, West Indies and her final clinical year was attended at North Carolina State University's College of Veterinary Medicine. After completing veterinary school and receiving her degree, Dr. Connolly moved back to New England with hopes of starting her career in veterinary medicine close to home. She began as an associate veterinarian at Bedford Animal Hospital for almost 2 years, and has been an associate veterinarian at Windham Animal Hospital for the past 3 years. Her medical interests range from soft tissue surgery, ultrasound, large breed medicine, pain management to feline medicine. Dr. Connolly has a large family residing in both NH and MA with whom she spends a lot of time. She loves to play the guitar and listen to music, enjoys the beach, has an interest in traveling and loves spending time with her dogs and cats. She is excited to be working in the Lexington area and looks forward to meeting Lexington-Bedford Veterinary Hospital's wonderful patients and their owners.

Dr. Thea Doidge

Dr. Thea Doidge, our Chief of Staff, grew up in the Pacific Northwest, and moved to New England to attend Tufts Veterinary School. After graduating from Tufts in 2008, she completed an intensive internship in small animal medicine (with a special focus on exotics) at Angell Animal Medical Center in Boston. She then worked for eight years at Littleton Animal Hospital treating rabbits, small mammals, birds, and reptiles in addition to dogs and cats. Dr. Doidge joined the team at Lexington-Bedford in 2017. Treating non-traditional animal species has been Dr. Doidge's passion for many years. She started volunteering at a wildlife rehabilitation center and working for an avian vet in the 1990's, and has always been committed to providing top notch care to all creatures great and small. During veterinary school, she completed several externships, including work at the Oregon Zoo, Franklin Park Zoo, Wildlife Safari in Oregon, Tufts Wildlife Center, Tufts Exotics Department, and multiple private practice exotics vets. In addition to exotics, her interests include dentistry, feline medicine, and geriatric medicine. When not at work, Dr. Doidge can often be found in her garden, or enjoying the great outdoors with her family. She currently resides in Arlington with her husband, two small kids, and two mischievous kitties.
