Armed with both development and design expertise, I was eager to launch my own business. Fortunately, I found like-minded friends who shared my passion, and together we set to work on our first startup idea: tift. Our goal was to simplify and improve employee scheduling by building a constraint resolver that could take business requirements, employee preferences, and legal prerequisites into account and generate schedules automatically in seconds. We applied our knowledge of lean startup principles, saw promising initial traction, and acquired funding. Still, unfortunately, we weren't able to achieve product-market fit quickly enough and had to abandon the project after two years...
