For over 31 years the MML has been a leader in the field of molecular microspectroscopy for use in contaminant identification and materials characterization. The facility has provided analytical services to over 450 clients, which has afforded the laboratory staff a wide range expertise and analytical problem solving skills. The two principle methods the laboratory uses are infrared microspectroscopy and Raman microspectroscopy. We are not only experts in the use of these tools but in their development as well. Many of the instrument manufacturers have used the facility as a test and development site.
