Dr. Elizabeth Stafford is a 2006 graduate of The Ohio State University. She grew up in Upper Arlington, and has practiced in central Ohio for 15 years at several clinics with a variety of clientele in various communities. She has loved animals since she was a young girl. As a child she had a horse, turtles, a parakeet, cats and a dog. Her passions in veterinary medicine are surgery, dentistry, internal medicine, cardiology and holistic medicine. She is trained in veterinary acupuncture through the Chi Institute in Reddick, FL and is pursuing the use of herbs as an adjunct therapy to traditional medicine.
Dr. Stafford's husband Matt is in sales and they have two children; Ella, who is 12, and Tucker, who is 8. Their four-footed family members are Watch, a 7 year old German Shorthair Pointer and Chicken and Waffles, 18 month old tabby littermates. Dr. Stafford's family has a home on a lake in Northern Michigan, which is her favorite place to be. She loves spending time with her family, being outdoorsy whenever possible: hiking, biking, boating, and fishing. She loves to read, write, do yoga and garden. She is working on improving her culinary skills and is writing a novel.
Dr. Stafford is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Ohio Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Houser is originally from Southern Ohio, but has made her home in Licking County since 2006. She completed her undergraduate studies in Political Science at Miami University, where she was a member of the Waterski Club and an Intramural Sports Supervisor. She earned her Doctorate from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006 where she was the Treasurer of the Student Chapter of the AVMA. She has experience with both companion and farm animals and enjoys the diversity and challenges that come with treating multiple species.
Dr. Houser has been married to her college sweetheart, Jeff, since 2000. They have two beautiful children; Shannon and Drew. She also shares her home with her dog - Molly, and three cats - Oliver, Axl, and Petunia. In her free time, she enjoys waterskiing, Ohio State Football, golf, and reading.
