Dr. Daniel Leguizamon

This is Dr. Leguizamon's eighth year teaching music at OLS. Dr. Leguizamon has been teaching music in the Archdiocese of NY for over eighteen years. In addition to teaching at OLS, he currently teaches at John Cardinal O'Connor school and Immaculate Heart of Mary in Westchester. He received a Masters of Music degree from Manhattan School of Music in New York, a Master's degree in Education from Fordham University, and a PhD in Education from Capella University.

Mr. Kevin Carrigan

This is Mr. Carrigan's first year teaching physical education at OLS!

Mrs. Antoinette Santini

This is Mrs. Santini's fourth year teaching at OLS. Mrs. Santini has a Master of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from the College of New Rochelle and her Bachelor of Science is in Special Education from Manhattan College. Mrs. Santini came to us with 33 years of full time teaching at the Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten and First Grade levels. Prior to coming to OLS, she was employed at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Pelham.

Mrs. Christine Conchado

This is Mrs. Conchado's twenty-third year at OLS. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary English Education from Villanova University. She completed her student teaching at a Catholic all-girls private high school in Philadelphia. Mrs. Conchado received a Master of Science degree in Literacy Education K-12 from the College of New Rochelle. She has received certification in the Catechist Formation program and is a Level One Google Certified Instructor.

Mrs. Danielle Cinquemani

Mrs. Cinquemani came to OLS with over twenty years' experience teaching grades K-5. This will be her second year at OLS. She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Communications from Iona University and a Master of Science Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. Mrs. Cinquemani has four children and loves teaching first grade! She has completed both Level 1 and Level 2 of the Catechist Formation program.

Mrs. Diane Flora

Mrs. Flora happily joined the OLS staff as the Administrative Assistant in November of 2021 . She has her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and her Master of Science in Special Education (N-12.) Mrs. Flora taught for fourteen years before stopping to raise her 3 children. With her educational background, she brings many gifts and talents to her position.

Mrs. Elaine Laux

Mrs. Laux is in her fifteenth year teaching at OLS. She has over 30 years of educational experience (Pre-K through twelfth grade) primarily in the New York Archdiocesan schools. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts at the College of New Rochelle in Art History and Fine Arts.

Mrs. Gianna Gardner

This is Mrs. Gardner's nineteenth year teaching at OLS. Previously she taught, for three years, in a public school in the Bronx. She has a Bachelor of Science/Secondary Education degree in History and her Master of Science degree in Adolescent Education/Social Studies. Mrs. Gardner teaches social studies in grades 5-8, and 7th grade writing.

Mrs. Gina Nethercott

This is Mrs. Nethercott's seventeenth year teaching science to grades 5 - 8. She has a Bachelor's degree in Biology from St. Thomas Aquinas College and a Master's degree in Elementary Education from Long Island University. Prior to teaching at OLS, Mrs. Nethercott taught science in grades 6 - 8 for one year at St. Margaret's School in Pearl River and three years at Sacred Heart School in Suffern. Mrs. Nethercott has completed all of her Catechist Formation classes.

Mrs. Johanna Santarelli

This is Mrs. Santarelli's seventeenth year teaching at OLS. She is currently teaching math in grades 6, 7 and 8. She graduated Middlebury College with a Bachelor of Art's degree in Economics. She also has a Master of Science degree in Accounting and an Advanced Certificate in Secondary School Mathematics from Pace University. Mrs. Santarelli was a CPA before she left the corporate world to start a family. Her love of mathematics compelled her to switch careers and embark on a teaching career where she now shares her enthusiasm for mathematics with her students.

Mrs. Kristin Jimison

Mrs. Jimison (OLS graduate 2002) is in her 11th year teaching at OLS and her second year as the 5th grade teacher. She taught 4th grade at OLS for five years. After the birth of her second child she went to a part-time position teaching 5th and 6th grade math. Mrs. Jimison graduated from Sacred Heart University with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and from Pace University with a Master's degree in Elementary Education. Mrs. Jimison has completed all of her Catechist Formation classes.

Mrs. Laura DiVenere

Mrs. DiVenere graduated from Iona College with a Bachelor's degree in International Studies. In her professional career, she worked as a buyer. She also taught CCD for many years and was a Girl Scout Leader for 13 years. Mrs. DiVenere loves working with children and finds them fascinating.

Mrs. Melissa Torrieri

This is Mrs. Torrieri's seventh year teaching 4th grade at OLS. She first started here in 2003 as our 2nd grade teacher but left in 2005 to start a family. Missing OLS, she taught part-time while raising her children. Prior to her years at OLS, Mrs. Torrieri was a Junior High English teacher for 5 years in Brooklyn and Manhattan. She graduated from SUNY Albany with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English. She is completing her Masters in Childhood Education at Mercy College and has completed all of her Catechist Formation classes.

Mrs. Tara Gimenez

This is Mrs. Gimenez' sixteenth year teaching 3rd grade at OLS. Prior to coming to OLS Mrs. Gimenez was a full-time Kindergarten teacher for nine years. She has also substituted for Kindergarten through fifth grade. Mrs. Gimenez graduated from Manhattanville College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies and Elementary Education. She is completing her Masters of Professional Studies in Literacy at Manhattanville College.

Mrs. Valerie Hartigan

Mrs. Valerie Hartigan is working as a teacher aide in the first grade classroom. Mrs. Hartigan graduated from the University of Limerick, Ireland with a Bachelor's degree in Public Administration. She has a Master's degree in Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of Ulster, Northern Ireland. During her professional career Mrs. Hartigan has worked as a Personal Assistant in Brussels, London and New York City. She is delighted to work at OLS and fulfill a lifelong dream in educating young children.

Ms. Phyllis Roth

Ms. Roth is a Registered Nurse in New York State. She has a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the Sy Syms School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Adelphi University. Prior to coming to OLS, Ms. Roth worked at a Nursery - 5th grade elementary school in Rockland County. She also worked at Burke Rehab in White Plains, Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, and St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn, NY. For the past 13 summers, she has worked as a nurse at a daycamp in Nyack, NY. This is Ms. Roth's seventh year at OLS.

Ms. Stephanie Hrivnak

This is Ms. Stephanie Hrivnak's second year at OLS. She received her Bachelor of Arts and her Masters of Professional Studies in Childhood Education and Childhood Special Education at Manhattanville College. Before coming to OLS, Ms. Hrivnak was a Substitute Teacher in grades K-5 and has worked in special education classroom settings in the Bedford Central School District. Additionally, Ms. Hrivnak taught Religious Education to first and second graders for two years at Immaculate Conception Parish in Tuckahoe.

Sister Marie Cecile R.

Sr. Marie Cecile is in her thirty-eighth year as Principal of OLS. A member of the Religious of the Divine Compassion, Sister taught first grade at OLS for 15 years prior to becoming Principal. She has her Master's degree in Reading from the College of New Rochelle, a Bachelor's degree in Education from Pace University and an Associate degree in Music from Elizabeth Seton College. Her administration certification was completed at Manhattan College and Fordham University. During her tenure as Principal, Sister introduced the foreign language program in grades 4- 8, the chess club, instrumental music, drama, choral music, girls' softball and CYO boys' and girls' basketball teams. Additionally, she added a learning facilitator, a part-time guidance counselor and teacher aides to the faculty. An anti-bullying program was established with speakers for parents and on-going guidance sessions as well as assemblies for students that continue to focus on this issue. A kindergarten program has been added and an After-School Care Program was initiated. Sister Cecile is a member of the OLS Parents Association. She currently serves as the moderator of the Student Council.
