As a legal secretary with over 21 years of experience, Lorraine McAdams brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our team. Her passion for the legal profession and commitment to providing outstanding service to our clients are evident in everything she does.
Lydia Millar Lynsey is headquartered in our Bellshill office and serves as managing director of Lanarkshire Law Practise and CEO of Nicolson O'Brien Solicitors. She earned a diploma in legal practise from the Glasgow Graduate School of Law in 2003 after graduating from Strathclyde University with honours in 2002. She is also registered as a Notary Public
Additionally, Lynsey is actively focusing on growing our successful conveyancing profession. She has been named as the Court's Independent Representative to handle the conveyancing in a number of family law disputes. Lynsey manages a number of executry case files in addition to her thriving conveyancing business. She also has a wealth of experience in virtually every civil hearing scenario, including heritable cases, sequestrations, options, pre-proof, case management, opposed motions, child welfare, small claims, summary cause, taxation, assessment, guardianship, and hearings in debtor court.
Lynsey is married with two young children.
Michael is the Managing Director and is based in our Bellshill branch. He graduated with honours from Strathclyde University in 1987 and obtained a Diploma in Legal Practice in 1988. He is also a Notary Public. Since 1990 he has practiced on a daily basis in Hamilton Sheriff Court jurisdiction, having worked as a Solicitor and thereafter, Partner, with T.G. Bradshaw & Company, Bellshill and as a Director of Lanarkshire Law Practice. He is very highly respected amongst his fellow solicitors and the Sheriffs at Hamilton Sheriff Court.
Michael specialises in Family Law and Child Law and has dealt with numerous complicated and difficult cases in those fields. He is currently the Vice-Dean of the Society of Solicitors of Hamilton and District. Since 1995 he has been regularly appointed by the Sheriffs at Hamilton to act as the Court's independent representative in contentious family actions involving divorce, residence, contact, adoption and other issues. In 2008 he was appointed by North Lanarkshire Council as Safeguarder to the Children's Panel to provide independent Reports to the Panel in cases involving children and fulfilled that role until July 2013. Throughout that same period Michael was regularly appointed by the Children's Panel to act at Children's Panel Hearings as Legal Representative to vulnerable adults and children. He is a member of the Family Law Association. He has been a Legal Representative to St. Margaret's Children's Society since 2013 and a Tutor in Family Law in the Diploma in Legal Practice at Glasgow University since 2011.
Michael is married with three children and one grandchild and lives in Uddingston.
Paul Nicolson is one of the original founders of Nicolson O'Brien Solicitors. Hvaign been in the practice for over 30 years, Paul is looking to reitre in the near future. He is currenlty still employed within the business as chief consultant.
Paul brings vast years of expereicne into the business across family and criminal law.
One of Paul's area of experitse is Family Law - Divorce and Child Custody and has dealt with numerous complicated and difficult cases in those fields. His time is split between family and Civil and Criminal Law
Paul is married with two adult children
Paula is the Managing Director and is based in our Airdrie branch. She graduated with honours from Strathclyde University in 1999 and obtained a Diploma in Legal Practice in 2002. Paula was previously with Carty's Solicitors where she run the Airdrie office for for over 20 yearsShe is very highly respected amongst his fellow solicitors and the Sheriffs at Airdrie and Hamilton Sheriff Court.
Paula specialises in Family Law and Child Law and has dealt with numerous complicated and difficult cases in those fields.
As a finance assistant with over 20 years of experience, Rosemary Connolly has a wealth of knowledge and expertise that she brings to every project. She has been with the business for two decades and is on first name terms with lots fo the existing customers. Her commitment to excellence and exceptional organisational skills make her an indispensable part of our team.
Stacey Broadley is a highly skilled legal secretary who previously worked with our managing director, Paula Lutton, at Cartey's. Her attention to detail, strong work ethic, and ability to manage multiple tasks make her a valuable asset to our team.
