Born in Kansas City, Missouri, Brock Patton is a 2004 graduate of Liberty High School. He graduated from William Jewell College in 2008 with a B.A. in Political Science. He received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City School of Law in 2011 and was admitted to the Missouri Bar in 2011. Mr. Patton is a member of the Clay County Bar, The Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, and the Missouri Bar. Mr. Patton was recognized as the 2024 Attorney of the Year in Clay County, Missouri.
Born in Kansas City, Missouri, Gary Patton graduated from Winnetonka High School in 1973. He graduated from William Jewell College in 1977 with a B.S. in Business Administration. He received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City School of Law in 1980 and was admitted to the Missouri Bar in 1980.
Mr. Patton is rated an AV lawyer by Martindale-Hubbell, meaning he has been recognized by attorneys and judges as having the highest legal ability while adhering to the highest ethical standards. Firm founder Gary K. Patton has been practicing law in the Northland of Kansas City since graduating from the University of Missouri at Kansas City School of Law in 1980. Mr. Patton practiced in Gladstone with John R. Hutcherson as an associate until 1981, when Mr. Hutcherson was appointed to be an Associate Circuit Court Judge in Clay County. Mr. Patton then joined the Liberty law firm of Hale, Kincaid, Waters & Allen, P.C. as an associate and eventually became a partner in that firm.

Grant Martin was born and raised in Liberty, Missouri, where he graduated from Liberty High School. He earned dual B.A. degrees in Political Science and German from the University of Missouri in 2021 and went on to obtain his Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri - Kansas City in 2024. He was admitted to the Missouri Bar that same year.
Grant is a member of the Clay County Bar Association, the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, and the Missouri Bar. His practice areas include Civil Litigation, Probate, Family Law, Estate Planning, Real Estate, Guardianship and Conservatorships, and Traffic.
In his free time, Grant enjoys kayaking, watching Chiefs games, and spending quality time with his family.
A native of St. Joseph, Missouri, John graduated from Central High School in 1986. He attended college at Missouri Western State University, graduating magna cum laude with a B.A. in History in 1990. The History Department named him the Outstanding Graduating Senior in History. While attending law school at Mizzou, he served as a Note and Comment Editor for the Journal of Dispute Resolution and was honored with admission to the Order of the Barristers.
After graduating from law school in 1993, John worked for a small litigation firm in St. Charles County, Missouri where he handled personal injury cases, worker's compensation claims, and represented individuals charged with criminal offenses. From 1998 until 2023, he was in private practice handling a wide variety of cases throughout Northwest Missouri. Having represented clients in more than 25 counties throughout Missouri, John has been involved in high stakes litigation including serious personal injury claims, termination of parental rights, contentious custody battles, and the defense of individuals potentially facing decades in prison. John has represented employees on claims for worker's compensation against some of the largest employers in the state, including TWA, General Motors, Ford, McDonnell Douglas, and Triumph Foods. He is also a graduate of the prestigious Trial Lawyers College sponsored by the American Trial Lawyers Association.
At Patton Wagner, John handles cases involving family law, criminal and civil litigation, worker's compensation, and driver's license issues. He is married and has two children, four cats (according to the most recent census) and a dog. In his spare time he coaches youth baseball in the Northland, enjoys fishing for smallmouth bass in the Ozarks, and reading just about anything he can get his hands on.
Marshall Woody was born in Springfield, Missouri and graduated from Glendale High School. Mr. Woody graduated from the University of Missouri in 2000 with a B.A. in English. He obtained an M.F.A. in Creative Writing in 2006 from Long Island University at Southampton College, now Stony Brook Southampton. Mr. Woody graduated cum laude with his J.D. from the University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Law in 2011. While in law school, Mr. Woody served as a Note and Comment Editor of the UMKC Law Review and was awarded the West Publishing Company Award for Outstanding Scholarly Accomplishment.
After law school, Mr. Woody clerked for the Honorable Zel M. Fischer of the Missouri Supreme Court from 2011-2013. He joined Morrow Willnauer Church, LLC in 2013 where he litigated civil cases in the areas of insurance defense, insurance coverage disputes, business and commercial litigation, professional liability, and personal injury. Mr. Woody has authored appellate briefs to the state appellate courts in Missouri and Kansas and to federal appellate courts. He joined Patton Law Group & Associates, P.C. in 2018 where he mainly concentrates on civil litigation.
Mr. Woody is licensed in Missouri and Kansas and is a member of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar, the Missouri Bar, the Kansas Bar, and is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the District of Kansas, the Western District of Missouri, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.
Mr. Woody has lived in Liberty, Missouri with his wife Kaitlin since 2008. He is an avid reader, writer, and enjoys soccer, golf, tennis, softball, and attending Sporting Kansas City games.
