Our mission: To empower sustainable economic development by recycling bicycles and sewing machines from the U.S. and shipping them to motivated people in the developing world... We just shipped 30 sewing machines to Village Care Initiatives Sierra Leone (VCISL), our partner just back on the active list. Our partnership with Sierra Leone stretches way back to 2009, when our filmmaker visited and made Cycle Recycle, a 10-minute video, and wrote this post about the country and the VCISL programs.
