Dr. Bram Salis

Dr. Bram Salis, D.M.D., F.R.C.D. (C.), Dip. A.B.P. is a Board Certified Periodontist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. He specializes in oral hard and soft tissue periodontal reconstruction, periodontal plastic surgery, and the surgical placement of dental implants. After receiving his Bachelors of Science in Microbiology and Immunology from McGill University in Montreal, he earned his Doctorate in Medical Dentistry from the Faculty of Dentistry at McGill University. Dr. Salis then went on to complete a General Practice Residency at the Jewish General Hospital, and an intensive three year specialty training program at NYU'S prestigious Ashman Department of Periodontics and Implant Dentistry. Along with a keen interest in continuing education, Dr. Salis is passionate about teaching and research. He was the Co-director of the Summer Clinic Program at McGill University, and he currently lectures and trains the dental residents at the Jewish General Hospital in Periodontics and Implant Dentistry. Dr. Salis has also been published for research in the Journal of Periodontology, the official Scientific Journal of the American Academy of Periodontology. Dr. Salis is a member of numerous national and local dental organizations, including the American Academy of Periodontology, Canadian Academy of Periodontology, Ordre des Dentistes du Quebec, and Alpha Omega dental fraternity. Dr. Salis grew up in the city of Montreal, where he currently resides. He enjoys golfing and spending time with his family and friends.

Dr. Edward H. Trinh

Dr E.H. Trinh is a passionate dentist committed to helping patients take pride in their oral health and unique beautiful smiles. He prioritizes listening to his patient's needs to ensure a complete multidisciplinary approach personalized to each complex case. Dr Trinh builds each happy smile on a solid foundation by working with other young dentists and specialists. His enthusiasm and expertise for periodontal plastics, bone grafting, and implant surgery allow him to provide high-quality care initiated from the ground-up. Dr Trinh is a graduate, faculty lecturer, and clinical supervisor of McGill University's Faculty of Dentistry. He is completing a Masters in Periodontics at Université Laval, Quebec City, towards his accreditation as a board-certified specialist. He has obtained his Fellowship-elect from the Royal College of Dentists of Canada in the specialty of Periodontics. Besides dentistry, Dr Trinh is an avid rock-climber, dragonboater, and self-proclaimed amateur chef.

Dr. Firoozeh Samim

Dr. Firoozeh Samim is a Canadian and American Board Certified specialist in Oral Medicine & Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology. She received her DMD from Shiraz University of Medical Science in Iran and went on to complete the Oral Medicine & Oral Pathology residency program at UBC. She also completed her MSc in Craniofacial focusing on the oral health of the vulnerable population and children attending inner-city schools. Dr. Samim was actively involved at UBC as Clinical Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Dentistry and in the oral oncology group with the Department of Oral Oncology/Dentistry at the British Columbia Cancer Agency. She has published several papers focusing on oral mucositis and oral care in cancer patients. Dr. Samim also was a Clinical Assistant Professor and Research Coordinator at Memorial University. She has also served a key role in the dental management of patients undergoing treatment for head and neck cancer, stem cell transplant and chemotherapy by establishing the first oral oncology clinic at the Janeway Hospital of the NL. She is currently a Clinical Assistant professor at the McGill University Faculty of Dentistry with the active role in teaching both undergraduate and graduates dental students. Dr. Samim will be focusing her practice on acute and chronic orofacial pain, diagnosis and treatment of oral conditions and diseases, sleeping disordered breathing and obstructive sleep apnea, and the oral management of medically compromised patients.

Dr. Geneviève Payne

Dr. Genevieve Payne D.M.D., F.R.C.D. (C.), M.Sc., Dip. A.B.P. completed her doctoral degree in dentistry at the University of Montreal in 2012. During her last year of dentistry, she took part in an advanced program in Periodontology where she had the opportunity to do numerous periodontal surgeries and where she developed a passion for periodontics. She then completed a multidisciplinary residency at Notre-Dame Hospital and Ste-Justine Hospital where she treated many immunocompromised patients, among others. She then completed a three-year postdoctoral program in Periodontology and Implantology at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. While at Nova Southeastern University, she became proficient in both traditional periodontal surgery and implantology. As a resident, she was ambassador to the American Academy of Periodontology Foundation. She also completed her master's degree in craniofacial biology while undergoing her specialty. She is a clinical instructor in periodontics at McGill University Faculty of Dentistry and a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the Academy of Osseointegration, the Canadian Academy of Periodontology, the Quebec Association of Periodontists, the Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity, a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. Outside of dentistry, Genevieve loves fitness training, especially running. She enjoys travelling with her family and friends. She spends a lot of time cooking and baking. In July 2017, she and her husband welcomed their first child, an energetic beautiful daughter, Jaclyn Fay.
