A Capital High School graduate now attending Montana State University, Tyler is one of the state's most rapidly ascending rodeo stars. Ty was named the Professional Rodeo Association 2011 Steer Wrestling Rookie of the Year. At the 2011 Montana Circuit Finals, January 13-15, 2012, Ty was second in the 1st go of steer wrestling, won the 3rd go and the average to be crowned circuit champion with a $10,000 lead over second place.
