PLAMEN MILCEV

Maestro Plamen Milcev is born in 1966 in the town of Kazanlak, Bulgaria - a town that has been the luthier center of the Balkan Peninsula for more than a century. Driven by his artistic nature, Mr. Milcev has studied the Professional High School of Fine Arts in the town of Triavna, Bulgaria, which he graduated in 1985 with 2 special honors. In 1990 he dedicated his artistic skills to the craft of violin-making and established his own workshop. In the period 1999 - 2002 he was elected vice-president of the Bulgarian Luthiers Assiciation. Striving to add even more value to his work and seeking inspiration from the roots of the luthiers art, Plamen Milcev resumed his education in Instituto Professionale di Luiteria A. Stradivari, Cremona, Italy, which he graduated in 2005. The same year he specialized repairing bows for instruments of the violin family.
