Jim is both a recognized and respected attorney, and has been involved with aviation for over 40 years in various capacities as an aviation lawyer and law professor, pilot, flight instructor, jet simulator/airplane instructor, and training and reserve captain. His experience has allowed him to represent a variety of clients, serving as an attorney for pilots and operators, as well as representing manufacturers in product liability suits and handling numerous sale transactions ranging from small aircraft to business jets. Jim has written extensively for trade publications regarding both legal and operational safety issues. He holds an ATP certificate and is type-rated in two jets, with over 5,000 hours. Pilots, operators, and service industries will find comfort in knowing Jim understands their business firsthand from experience, and will benefit from his wealth of legal knowledge and private practice background. A graduate of Widener University School of Law, Jim earned his law degree in 1978. He also holds a B.B.A in aviation management from Wilmington University and is a member of the Lawyer Pilots Bar Association.
