Anne Beaudette Allison

Chris Rogers

Chris earned his Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration degrees from the University of South Carolina. In addition, he earned a Master of Laws in Taxation from the University of Florida. From this multi-dimensional perspective, Chris counsels business, real estate, and nonprofit clients on a wide variety of matters. When Chris is not working, he is very active in his community in the Midlands. He has served as the Past President and Treasurer of the Lexington Kiwanis Club and as a Member of the Board of the Columbia Development Corporation. He participated and graduated from Leadership Columbia - Class of 2007 and the Urban Land Institute's Sustainable Leadership Institute - Class of 2013. Chris has also spent a number of years volunteering as a youth soccer league coach. In addition to his community service, Chris has been on the faculty of various continuing legal education seminars on topics such as tax exempt organizations, choice of entity, business acquisitions, and tax credits and incentives. He is a member of the South Carolina Bar Association, the Columbia Tax Study Group, and the Richland County Bar Association.

John McCants

John's practice focuses on construction and commercial law - including bankruptcy law - for which he has served as lead counsel in numerous cases in federal and state trial and appellate courts. He is experienced in jury trials, non-jury trials, mediation and arbitration. His 37 years of experience includes cases related to construction defects, fidelity and surety, mechanic liens, product liability, Uniform Commercial Code, bankruptcy and insolvency, debtor and creditor, appellate advocacy, insurance coverage, torts, dispute avoidance and resolution, contract documents, real estate litigation and class actions. Prior to forming Rogers Lewis, John was a partner at Ellis Lawhorne & Sims, P.A. With an AV® Preeminent Rating™ with Martindale-Hubbell®, John is currently a member of the South Carolina Bar Construction Law Section, Richland County Bar Association (Past President) and the South Carolina Bankruptcy Law Association (Past President). He currently serves as a member of the South Carolina Bar House of Delegates. John is a member of the Defense Research Institute (DRI) and is on the steering committee for the DRI Construction Law Committee- currently serving as the Publications Chair. Shaun Blake

Shaun's practice is centered on high-stakes litigation for both plaintiffs and defendants, with a focus on assisting businesses and individuals injured by the misconduct of others. Shaun also prosecutes and defends business and employment disputes in state and federal courts. Prior to joining Rogers Lewis in 2014, Shaun was a partner at Adams and Reese LLP. Shaun has maintained an AV® Preeminent Rating™ with Martindale-Hubbell® since 2013, and he been recognized in South Carolina SuperLawyers® every year since 2014 for his litigation and courtroom practice. He has also been recognized several times as being among the "Legal Elite" by the readers of Columbia Business Monthly for his work in the area of business litigation. Steve focuses his practice in the areas of Taxation, Business Law, Tax Credit Transactions and Estate Planning. He earned his B.S. in Business Administration from the College of Charleston, his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina, and his Master of Laws in Taxation (LL.M.) from the University of Florida. Prior to joining Rogers Lewis, Steve served as a Professor of Law at the Charlotte School of Law in Charlotte, NC, taught at the School of Business at the College of Charleston, and practiced with law firms in Charleston, SC, Savannah, GA, and Atlanta, GA. Steve has published more than twenty articles on taxation, estate planning and employee benefits topics. Steve is a member of the South Carolina Bar Association, the State Bar of Georgia, the Columbia Tax Study Group and the Columbia Estate Planning Council.
