Dr. Evan Ransom

Dr. Evan Ransom is an Ivy League-educated and Ivy League trained Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon. He is a Double Board Certified Head and Neck Surgeon and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and fellowship-trained in facial plastic, reconstructive, and laser surgery. His practice is in the San Francisco Bay Area, serving patients from San Francisco, Oakland, Marin County, Palo Alto, Silicon Valley, Walnut Creek, the East Bay, and all over Northern California. Dr. Ransom is a specialist in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the nose, eyelids, ears, face, and neck. He performs surgery at multiple hospitals and outpatient specialty surgery centers in San Francisco and Marin County, California. In addition, Dr. Ransom has extensive training in non-surgical and minimally-invasive or "no downtime" treatments. Dr. Ransom completed his undergraduate education at Northwestern University, outside of Chicago, and graduated with Honors in Biology (Neurobiology concentration) with a strong research focus on neurological development and neuronal plasticity. While at Northwestern, he co-directed the largest volunteer organization on campus (the Northwestern Community Development Corps). He then attended the College of Physicians & Surgeons at Columbia University in New York City. Dr. Ransom graduated with the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honor (top 10% of the class). He went on to complete his residency training in Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, a "Top Ten" academic program and a "Top Hospital" in the United States, according to U.S. News & World Report. Finally, Dr. Ransom was selected from a pool of national and international candidates for a fellowship in facial plastic, reconstructive, and laser surgery with renowned plastic surgeon Dr. Andrew Jacono (as seen on TV on the Discovery Fit & Health network and the Oprah Winfrey Network) in New York City and Long Island, New York. Following the completion of his medical and surgical training, Dr. Ransom returned to California to open a practice focused on aesthetic and reconstructive surgery of the face, nose, and neck, as well as non-surgical rejuvenation of the face. Dr. Ransom is an attending surgeon at the California Pacific Medical Center, St. Mary's Medical Center, and St. Francis Memorial Hospital in San Francisco, as well as Marin General Hospital. He is the author of over 30 medical studies and textbook chapters and has given numerous lectures at national meetings (see In the News and Curriculum Vitae). Dr. Ransom's practice includes reconstruction of complex defects of the face and neck resulting from Mohs surgery, cosmetic and functional rhinoplasty ("nose job" surgery or nose reshaping), and all types of surgery for the aging face (facelift, eyelid lift, brow or forehead lift, midface lift, and fat grafting). He uses the latest in minimally invasive and endoscopic techniques.
