Mike Croft

Job Titles:

Mike Croft started work at Seaview Marina in 2008 as Marina Maintenance Dockhand. In his current role as Boatyard Supervisor Mike is responsible for running the extensive marina boat yard operation, overseeing all maintenance schedules and ensuring a safe working environment. Mike has brought a wide range of skills to Seaview Marina. After serving an engineering apprenticeship at the Railways he moved into sales. This led him to becoming the manager of a used car dealership. Prior to coming to Seaview Marina Mike was in the engineering trade. Mike is passionate about boating and has owned numerous boats which he has both raced and cruised. He is married with two daughters and lives in Days Bay.

Pamela Bell

Pamela joined the Seaview Marina board in April 2021 and brings experience in: architecture research (MArch, ‘Kiwi Prefab' book + exhibition), Olympic-level sport (snowboarding at Winter Olympics, Japan), business entrepreneurship (PrefabNZ Inc, Fruition Apparel Ltd, NZ Snowboard Academy Ltd), and governance (Urban Plus, MBIE BAP, BRANZ, Mt Vic Hub, Snow Sports NZ). Today, Pamela is an independent Innovation Consultant, specialising in the built environment, growing start-ups and future-focused governance to clients around the world. She has been the lucky recipient of a number of awards throughout her career, most recently the Victoria University of Wellington Alumni Award (2019) and an honorary appointment as Adjunct Professor (2020).

Peter Steel

Peter has degrees in Engineering and Economics and has had a career as a Consulting Engineer, with over 35 years experience in the design and implementation of a wide range of civil and infrastructure projects. Another area of expertise is infrastructure asset management to optimise life cycle costs and performance risks for infrastructure assets. His career has involved senior positions with the Beca Group, KiwiRail and the Australian SMEC Group. He is a Chartered Professional Engineer and a Fellow of IPENZ as well as a Member of the Institute of Directors. Peter has substantial experience in the design and construction of port, marina and coastal protection projects as well as urban design and infrastructure for commercial/residential building projects. Peter is a past President of the Wellington Regional Chamber of Commerce and has been Councillor and Deputy Chair of Weltec Polytechnic as well as Councillor for Weltec and Whitireia's Combined Council.

Rick Wells

Tim Lidgard

Tim grew up as part of a family of boatbuilding, yacht design, and sailing enthusiasts, and has enjoyed the water from a very young age. He was trained in the spar-making, composite construction, and yacht rigging trades. Tim is a national and world champion yachtsman, who has sailed competitively for 25+ years. His love for competitive sailing took him away from New Zealand, and he settled in San Francisco, USA. Enjoying the customer service aspect, Tim studied Business Management and focused on the management of marine projects. Tim has led large-scale commercial and military ship projects and has a vast knowledge of vessel structures and systems. He comes to Seaview Marina Ltd with 20 years' experience in marine infrastructure management where his focus was on sustainability and preserving the marine environment.

Tony Kelly

Boat Builder Tony Kelly joined the marina team in August 2015. Tony has been repairing boats for over eighteen years, the last sixteen have seen him based out of Seaview Marina - first with Wellington Boatbuilders and then with Boatworks. When not working, Tony enjoys a quiet life around the bays with wife Deb and daughter Holly.

Tui Lewis

Tui is 66 years young and has been married to Gary for 43 years, living in their first home in Petone. Enjoying the friendships of old and new neighbours in their street. Tui has always been involved in the community in one form or another and through this involvement, she was introduced to the local government. For three terms now Tui has represented and advocated for the Harbour Ward and is proud to be doing so again this triennium along with being Deputy Mayor. Tui has been self-employed for 20 years before becoming a Councillor and has experience in hospitality and retail, her last role before going full-time on Council was supporting her husband in his contingency planning business. Tui's happy places are long walks in Belmont regional park, enjoying the solitude of a beach walk, the garden, and sharing a meal with friends and family.
