SIBELIUS ACADEMY

Sibelius Academy of the University of the Arts Helsinki is one of the largest music academies in Europe. The academy was established in 1882 and bears the name of the Finnish master composer Jean Sibelius. The mission of the Sibelius Academy is to foster and renew musical culture. This is accomplished through teaching, research, and arts. The academy trains artists, teachers and other music professionals to independent artistic work in an inspiring and internationally diverse environment with state-of-the-art facilities. Sibelius Academy has been ranked world's ninth best performing arts school (QS World University Rankings by Subject 2021)... The Sibelius Society of Finland was founded in December 1957 as forum to support efforts to keep the musical heritage of Sibelius alive, to make his music more easily available to all who wanted to perform it, and to promote research about Sibelius and his music.
