Daniel M. Seiden

Daniel M. Seiden's reputation as a skilled litigator has been recognized by well-respected independent attorney review organizations. Mr. Seiden has been selected to the ‘Rising Stars' list by Super Lawyers, an honor reserved for attorneys that exhibit excellence in practice. Only 2.5% of attorneys in the New York Metro area receive this distinguished award. Daniel Seiden graduated cum laude with a degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Law from Binghamton University. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where he was awarded the full-tuition Monrad Paulson Scholarship, the most prestigious and selective academic scholarship offered by the school. After working at the Office of the Attorney General for the State of New York, and assisting with the prosecution of businesses and individuals engaged in fraudulent, deceptive, or illegal trade practices, Mr. Seiden served as a judicial intern for the Honorable George J. Silver of the New York County Supreme Court. This rare opportunity to learn about the inner workings of the court system from the judiciary's perspective also provided the foundation for Mr. Seiden's success in the courtroom. For the next seven and a half years, Mr. Seiden worked at a highly regarded personal injury firm in New York City. Richard G. Kaufman

Richard G. Kaufman is a founding member of Seiden & Kaufman and has practiced exclusively personal injury law since 1986. He graduated Hofstra University School of Law in 1984 with Moot Court Honors. Upon graduation, Richard G. Kaufman was hired by the Appellate Division, Second Department of New York to represent and protect the rights of patients confined to psychiatric hospitals in Nassau and Suffolk Counties. In 1986, Richard G. Kaufman was hired as an associate in a metropolitan area personal injury law firm. Within weeks of his hiring, he successfully tried his first case for a client, a woman who had suffered injuries in an elevator accident. Since that time, he has successfully tried cases in the five boroughs and Long Island and Westchester Counties. In 1988, Richard G. Kaufman and Steven J. Seiden founded Seiden & Kaufman. Richard G. Kaufman is admitted to practice law in all New York State Courts and the Eastern and Southern Districts of the United States District Courts. Mr. Kaufman is a member of the American Association for Justice (formerly the Association of Trial Lawyers of America), the American Bar Association, the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers, and the New York State Bar Association. Richard G. Kaufman is a past President of the Long Island Chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of America and has raised more than $1 million for patients suffering from blood-related cancers. Steven J. Seiden is a founding member of Seiden & Kaufman and has practiced exclusively personal injury law for more than thirty-seven years. Mr. Seiden has recovered millions of dollars in verdicts, arbitration awards, and settlements for injured victims of accidents and surviving family members in wrongful death actions. Mr. Seiden began working for a personal injury law firm immediately after he graduated from law school in 1984. Over the next few years, through his daily presence in the Supreme Court in Brooklyn, Mr. Seiden gained invaluable courtroom experience and developed a reputation as a powerful advocate.
