SciLactis is a research and consulting company focusing on dairy and value-added food sectors... Sci Lactis Ltd is an independent research and consulting company based at the Waikato Innovation Park on the outskirts of Hamilton, New Zealand. Its Founding Director is Dr Kerst Stelwagen. Kerst hails from The Netherlands where he was raised on a dairy farm. Following his undergraduate studies in Animal Husbandry and Agricultural Economics in The Netherlands he subsequently completed an MSc in Ruminant Nutrition and a PhD in Lactation Physiology at the University of Guelph in Canada. He then moved to New Zealand where he worked as a dairy scientist at the Dairying Research Corporation (now DairyNZ Ltd) and later at AgResearch Ltd.
