Biography June is a Paralegal at Soulsby Law. After graduating from high school in Seguin, Texas, June attended UTSA and San Antonio College and later graduated with an Associate Degree in Science, Biology before attending nursing school. She has a background of more than 15 years of experience in business management and customer service. June has always wanted to help people and has found her niche in family law where she can use her research and investigative skills while helping our clients through difficult times. June has worked in Family Law since 2014 and has been a paralegal to the Soulsby Law team since 2018. She has quickly built a successful career path as a paralegal and leads the team in creating litigation readiness systems. She utilizes the right amount of grit, determination, skill, and passion when handling client matters. She is friendly, reliable, and goes above and beyond to ensure that all client cases are handled with care and world class service. In addition to working at Soulsby Law, June is an active CASA advocate for abused and neglected children. She has been a part of CASA since 2017. June was recognized in the June 2019 Advocate Spotlight and received the 2019 Advocate of the Year. In her spare time, she enjoys outdoor activities and creating new memories with her husband, stepsons, and 2 dogs.

Kate Soulsby

Kate has been voted one of the "Best Attorneys in San Antonio" each year since 2014. The American Institute of Family Law voted her one of the 10 Best for Exceptional Service and Exceptional Client Service. Kate has been a member of the San Antonio Bar Association, and the San Antonio Family Law Bar Association since 2008. She was on the board of the San Antonio Family Law Bar Association from 2018 until 2020, and the San Antonio Family Law Association in 2019. Kate joined Texas Academy of Family Law Specialists in 2018 after becoming board certified. Kate has been a member of the State Bar College since 2009.

Shay Barroso

Biography Shay is studying Psychology at Southern New Hampshire University Psychology. Shay has been a paralegal for the last 6 years, working extensively with Attorney Hector R. Garza, Jr. Over the last several years she has gained vast experience in Family, Criminal and Civil matters. In her free time, Shay enjoys spending time with her four dogs, reading, jogging, and volunteering at her church bookstore.

Stephanie Annette Cadena

Biography Stephanie Annette Cervantes joined Soulsby Law in November 2019 as a legal assistant. Stephanie is the first person most of our clients speak with and often conducts our initial intakes. Stephanie is diligent and hardworking. She has had 15 years of experience with customer service, office management, property management, and business management but hopes to continue her education and increase her knowledge in family law to become a paralegal. Our family law clients are faced with a variety of highly stressful and emotional situations. Stephanie always provides a helpful, patient, and supportive ear while taking in sensitive information. Stephanie schedules consultations and appointments for the attorneys, as well as gathering documents and preparing client files for our attorneys. Stephanie was born and raised right here in San Antonio by a big, crazy, but loving family! In her down time, she loves spending time with her extended family and her two daughters.
