Cher Batchelor

Cher Batchelor currently serves as Environmental Manager at Roy Northern Land and Environmental's Fort St. John, BC office. Cher's primary role is managing all environmental specialists at Roy Northern's BC and AB offices, and managing multidisciplinary oil and gas permitting projects and large scale environmental and multi-disciplinary studies. Previously, Cher served as Senior Ecologist and Project Manager with Golder Associates Ltd. in Fort St. John, BC for five years. Cher has over 20 years of experience in environmental consulting and biological field studies of natural, naturalized, and disturbed ecosystems in California and British Columbia. Her background experience is in biological and botanical surveys, including special-status species surveys; habitat classification, evaluation, and mapping; biological constraints analyses; wetland delineations and regulatory permitting; construction and mitigation monitoring and coordination; and preparation of environmental reports. She has advanced botanical field identification skills and a thorough understanding of vascular plant keys. Cher has a B.Sc. in Ecology and Systematic Biology from California Polytechnic State University.

Douglas Roy - Founder

Since entering the oil and gas industry in 1980, Mr. Roy has been steadfast in his vision of creating and growing a successful land administration and environmental consulting business in the Peace Country. His insightful perspective for business and community came from being a landowner himself, later turned land agent. His rich background and understanding of economic life in the Peace region and exceptional business acumen have proven extremely valuable to the organization and its ability to consistently provide quality work with integrity. Mr. Roy now retired, continues to be involved in the growth and vision for Roy Northern Land & Environmental. As Chairman of the Board, he continues to mentor others, provide leadership and assist in identifying new opportunities for the business and the clients it serves.

With over 25 years experience in business development and management, Mr. Peters has a proven track record within the surface land industry, agriculture, and environment. Since joining Roy Northern Land and Environmental in 1999, and obtaining his Alberta Land Agents license, he has gained varied and extensive experience in all areas of the business, most specifically in land acquisition processes in Alberta and British Columbia, freehold land coordination, public consultation expertise, and overall business operations. With a commitment to excel client expectations, a passion for constructive communication, a sound ability to set direction and motivate employees to achieve, Mr. Peters will continue to foster the mandate of the organization and support its continued growth.

Sacha Plotnikow

Mr. Plotnikow has been living in Fort St. John since 1988 and he is a proud local of Fort St. John area. Mr. Plotnikow is a graduate from the Forest Technology program at (NAIT). Which he applied his skills in the forest industry for two years where he gained wide variety of knowledge in the forest sector. In addition to being responsible for the overall operations of the BC office, Mr. Plotnikow has extensive experience within land agent negotiations, acquiring crown and freehold surface rights. Mr Plotnikow has worked in the Land and Regulator industry for 17 year. He has worked closely with groups such as the Forest, Lands and Natural Resource Operations (FLNRO), and the BC Oil and Gas Commission (OGC). Mr. Plotnikow continues to foster excellent rapport with clients, government officials and First Nations. Mr. Plotnikow has also been very involved with permitting and acquisition of inter provincial pipelines (NEB) and has worked on several LNG pipelines in BC.
