Colette Stanley

Colette moved to NZ with Paul in 2005 shortly after they married and settled in New Zealand. They have 3 children together. Colette has a degree in Architecture from the University of Sheffield. She assists with architectural draughting for mainly house foundations. Colette also has her own business Out Back - Creating Outdoor Solutions. She is the Taranaki agent for Archgola and NZ Louvres. Her architectural background allows her to utilise her design flair for these spaces and manage a team of installers. Colette enjoys watching her children's sporting activities, baking and gardening.

James McKerrow

Jethro Neeson

  • Senior Geotechnical Engineer
Jethro is our inhouse Senior Geotechnical Engineer. With over 11 years industry experience Jethro is a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) practising in the Geotech field. His areas of expertise include liquefaction assessment, slope stability assessment and stabilisation, retaining wall design and deep pile design.

Karen Strange

Karen, who joined StanleyGray in February 2022, has extensive experience and a professional skillset in all aspects of Administration and Management. She also has a Diploma in both Business Management and Interior Design. Karen has a dual role at StanleyGray. She provides administration support to the Engineering Department and has a vital organizational role within the Out Back business supporting Colette and the team in all administrative functions including Health & Safety. When Karen is not working, she loves to spend time playing with her grandchildren. She is a talented crafter who enjoys scrapbooking and sewing.

Kevin Naughton

Job Titles:
  • Site Engineer
Kevin has various experience within the contracting/construction industry. Kevin carries out on-site investigations, including soil testing and on-site supervision such as earthworks and fill certification, together with pile driving supervision. Outside work he is a keen motorcyclist, and enjoys both on and off-road motorbikes, together with spending time with his family.

Lynne Stewart

Job Titles:
  • Office Manager
Lynne joined the Stanley Gray/Out Back team after moving from Christchurch to New Plymouth where she previously worked for a construction company for 10 years as Office Manager. Lynne has a certificate in Business Administration and assists with the daily office administration adding support to both Paul and Colette where required. She loves spending time with friends and family, cooking/baking, and exploring New Plymouth with her daughter and dog.

Matt Phillips

Job Titles:
  • Senior Civil & Structural Engineer
Matt graduated from the University of Canterbury is 2014, BE(Hons), and has been working in the Taranaki region since. During this time, he has gained diverse structural engineering design experience from residential buildings, commercial developments, bridge designs, seismic assessments/strengthening, to multistorey story buildings including a 7-storey mass timber building.

Paul Stanley

Paul graduated from The University of Sheffield, England in 2003 with a BE(Hons) in Civil Engineering. Immigrating from the UK to New Zealand in 2005, resulted in most of his post graduate experience and professional development being in New Zealand jurisdiction. During this time, he has gained a diverse knowledge of civil and structural engineering practice, working within consulting and contracting environments on various complex projects. Paul is a Chartered Professional Engineer and leads the engineering team at Stanley Gray Ltd. Paul enjoys motorsports, football and snooker. In his spare time, he enjoys riding his motorbike, and working on his car restoration projects.
