Bobby retired from the FNSB School District in August 2020 after 33 years working in the Special Education field. She received her Speech Language Therapy Assistant degree in 2013. Dave practically grew up in Talkabout. After graduating with an MS in Communication Disorders in 2010, and spending 5 years working in the schools, he took the opportunity to move back up to his childhood home and work in the clinic that started it all! In May 2017, he purchased Talkabout Inc. from Sandi and has been working hard to maintain the clinic as a resource for the community.
Jaina has over 20 years of experience working with the pediatric population. She was born and raised in Fairbanks. After receiving her B.S. in Biological Sciences in 1995 from the University of Alaska Fairbanks, she saw a need for speech therapists here in Fairbanks. She went back to school to complete her Master's degree in speech/language pathology at Washington State University. Jaina began working part-time at Talkabout in 2001, becoming full-time in 2004.

Jenn Matz has worked at Talkabout, Inc. since 2016. She began as an SLP-A, receiving her Masters in Communication Disorders in May of 2020 from East Carolina University. Jenn enjoys teaching motor planning concepts, specializing in articulation disorders, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, and early language concepts.
McKenna received her BA from University of Colorado Boulder in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences in 2016.
She previously lived at Eielson AFB from 2008 - 2011 and moved back to Alaska in May 2016.
Patrick is a traveling OT. He will be here at Talkabout until the end of July. Just enough time to enjoy the beautiful Alaskan summer!
Paula has over 30 years experience in the public school setting and has been working part-time at Talkabout since 2011. She received her Master's in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Iowa.
I moved to Fairbanks in June of 2019 with my husband, Ben, and our two dogs. Ben serves in the Army, which means we have moved a few times! We have lived in Alabama and Texas. We drove to Fairbanks from the southeast corner of Alabama, over 4,000 miles! I am from Kansas, originally, a born and raised K-Stater (EMAW).
I graduated with my bachelor's degree in Communication Science and Disorders from Kansas State University in 2013 and graduated with my master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from Nova Southeastern University In 2018. Some of my favorite experiences in education were my externship serving military families through pediatric feeding therapy and the following semester working with active duty military adults experiencing vocal disorders and feeding disorders. I truly love this career and am passionate about helping children and their families communicate clearly with each other.
