Steve learned the art of sail making while working at Ratsey & Lapthorn in Clearwater Florida during the early 1980's. Steve then decided to start his own business specializing in custom marine canvas products. From 1993 until 2005 The Canvas Yard was located at Ross Yachts Boat Yard in Clearwater.
