It's natural to feel overwhelmed when faced with the ongoing responsibility of caring for an adult with Alzheimer's disease or a related form of dementia. I specialize in the care of an older adult with Alzheimer's disease or a related form of dementia such as Vascular dementia, Parkinson's disease with dementia and Lewy Body dementia. I educate and guide family caregivers, train paid caregivers and offer educational presentations. With extensive experience, training and a certification as a dementia care specialist, I offer a customized dementia plan of care to educate and empower caregivers. The plan includes: strategies to enhance communication, ways to minimize behavior and functional challenges, engaging activities community based care options and if needed resources and referrals to professionals which I have vetted.
