Sheila Balfour, Founder of Zebra Recruiting, has more than 20 years of consulting recruiting experience. She built a recruitment consulting group of eight, was an integral member of the team to launch one of the internet's first recruiting sites, job.com, and has been responsible for hundreds of hires. She was a top Talent Acquisition Manger in a corporate role for a large, multinational engineering firm where she recruited SVPs to interns, visited top universities and participated at national professional conferences making her firm the employer of choice for the best new graduates and senior professionals. She coordinated a state-mandated diversity hiring program for a multi-company Design/Build highway construction project in the Midwest and promoted inclusion initiatives throughout her career.
Sheila has been a featured speaker as wells as a published author in national magazines and newsletters sharing her expertise in recruiting engineers, architects, and environmental scientists. She holds a BA in Sociology from Western Washington University. When not working, you can find Sheila gardening, golfing, or otherwise playing outside in the summer and skiing or reading a good book in the winter. She is the mother of two with whom she shares many laughs and a few adventures.
