ACADEMICS - Key Persons
My name is Angel. I have a two and half year old child. I graduated from Simon Fraser University with a bachelor degree in Business Administration. I obtained my ECE Assistant certificate from Sprott Shaw College. I do believe early childhood education is the most valuable investment for each family, and I commit myself to teaching and taking good care of your children. Working with kids has always been my dream job. For me, the most amazing experience would be watching all the children in our school grow in great happiness!
I was born in New York and came to Canada when I was a year old. I completed my Early Childhood Education in 2010 and have been in the field for over 10 years. After babysitting my little cousins, I've always known that I wanted to be a Teacher. What I love most about being a Teacher, are the lessons that they teach us adults; having patience and having no judgement.
I joined Academics Royal City in the beginning of 2018 and have enjoyed every moment. My 1 year old son has recently joined the Academics family and is starting to enjoy being at school. In my spare time, I love going on walks with my son and our dog and watching movies.
My name is Daniella Saruna. I was born and raised in Windsor Ontario. I completed my Early Childhood Education certificate and obtained my license in 2013. I joined the Academics team in June 2018. When I a not educating the minds of young children. You can find me nose deep in a book, playing a video game or doing a D.I.Y project.
I was born and raised in Vancouver, BC and I have a 1-year-old daughter, Ellie, who keeps me on my toes. I've been educating the minds of our little ones since 2010. When I was 18 years old, I was unsure of what I wanted to do with my career. My sister gave me the opportunity to be my nephew's full-time caregiver. I was so inspired by his development that I decided to enroll in the ECE program at MTI Community College.
I began my journey at Academics PreKindergarten Westwood in May of 2018 as a teacher in our PreK 1 program. From there I became a Lead Teacher of PreK 1 and later on moved to a PreK 2 classroom. I am now working as the Director of Operations for the school and loving every moment of it.
Working with children has been a passion of mine since my own very first day of preschool. I have been working in the field for over 10 years, in a variety of settings, enjoying every moment! I hold my Early Childhood Educator and Special Needs Educator certifications, as well as a current First Aid Certificate. I have enjoyed doing numerous Early Childhood Education workshops over the years and expanding my knowledge to better help the students I work with. I have spent time working with all ages from 0 to 5 in a child care setting, as well as working as a behavior interventionist doing one on one therapy.
So far I have had an amazing experience at Academics PreKindergarten and I look forward to many more memories at this Coquitlam Preschool. Getting to know each child and family is a privilege that I cherish each day. If I have not yet had the opportunity to meet you and your family, I cannot wait to do so soon!
As an Early Childhood Educator for over 15 years, I have always enjoyed working with children, watching them learn and reach developmental milestones. I've been called a "natural nurturer" because I love providing children with the care and affection they need. Now, after having two children of my own, my determination to provide quality learning and care for our young future generations is even stronger.
Coaching team members and building new relationships with families are just a few of the things I really enjoy about my role. I am also a nature and fitness lover. I look forward to growing more with our children as they teach us new things each day!
Nadia Hasan recognized a profound need for a dynamic research-based early childhood education program. She is a passionate advocate for children and their unlimited capacity to learn. She believes childcare and early education is an agent for positive change for women, families and children. Nadia strives to provide a program with an unrivalled, internationally recognized curriculum.
I hold a degree in Business Management and earned my Early Childhood Education Certificate from Capilano University. With over 15 years of work experience, seven of which in the field of Early Childhood Education. I proudly joined Academics Prekindergarten in Summer 2021 as the school Director, and it has been an amazing journey so far. We strive to create and deliver the best environment and experiences for ourchildren in their early years. In my spare time, I like to exercise, play basketball, and go on walks/hikes with my family.
