Ashley Wolf

Ashley joined Burleigh Consulting Group as an assistant retirement plan administrator in March 2022. She graduated with honors in 2017 from Northwestern State University with a B.A. in Mass Communication after serving as editor-in-chief of the university's newspaper. She enjoys cooking, reading, singing, and playing piano.

Brad Pitawanakwat

Brad joined Burleigh Consulting Group in 2014 as an intern and transitioned to a full-time plan administrator in 2018. He graduated from the University of Alabama with a B.S. degree in accounting and obtained a Master's in finance from the University of Memphis. In 2023, Brad earned the Qualified 401(k) Consultant (QKC) designation awarded by ASPPA.

Cathy Iskander

Job Titles:

Prior to joining Burleigh Consulting Group as a pension administrator in 2001, Cathy was employed in the fields of banking and education. Cathy graduated from Rhodes College with a B.A. degree in Economics and Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting.

Caydie Nickey

Job Titles:

Caydie joined Burleigh Consulting Group in 2017 as office manager then in 2018 she transitioned to the position of pension administrator. Prior to joining the company, Caydie spent the last 10 years working as a bookkeeper for multiple clients. Caydie graduated from The University of Tennessee with a B.S. degree in Logistics and Transportation.

Christy Bendall

Christy serves as the chief adminstrative officer for our firm. She joined Burleigh Consulting Group in 2018 with more than 30 years of experience in bookkeeping, split almost equally between Seessel's Supermarkets as an Internal Auditor and most recently as the office manager of Robinson & Isom, PLLC. In her free time, Christy enjoys relaxing with her family, friends, dog and granddog.

Connie H. Kolodziej

Connie joined Burleigh Consulting Group as a pension administrator in 1996. Connie has earned the Qualified 401(k) Plan Administrator designation awarded by ASPPA. Connie graduated in 1996 from Christian Brothers University with a B.S. degree in accounting and an M.B.A. degree in finance.

Debbie Merrell

Debbie joined Burleigh Consulting Group in January 2014 as administrative assistant. Debbie moved to Memphis from Pensacola, FL in 2013. Prior to joining the firm, Debbie worked in the fields of customer service, accounting, human resources and administration. She has taken several general accounting classes at Pensacola Junior College.

Dee Pitawanakwat

Prior to joining Burleigh Consulting Group in 2009 as pension administrator, Dee was employed as a registered nurse and military spouse. Dee graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.S. in nursing.

Jeffrey Wallace

Jeff was a member of the Phoenix Club, a young men's organization that raises funds for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Memphis. Jeff has been a member of Temple Israel since 1997, where he has served as President of the Temple Israel Brotherhood and as a member of the Board. As an Eagle Scout, Jeff continues his dedication to the Boy Scouts of America, serving as an adult leader in his son's troop at Germantown United Methodist Church (Troop 64).

Jennifer Abston

Jennifer graduated from the University of Memphis, earning a BBA degree with concentration in Marketing/Sales. She joined Burleigh Consulting Group in 1985, then left in 1988 for a career as a tennis professional and coach for 35 plus years. She returned to her Burleigh family in November 2020 and resumes her role as a retirement plan administrator.

John T. Crews

Before joining Burleigh Consulting Group in 1996 as a pension consultant, John was a vice president at National Bank of Commerce and a financial analyst in the corporate planning department of Perkins Family Restaurants. John has earned the Certified Pension Consultant and Qualified Pension Administrator designations awarded by ASPPA. He is also an Enrolled Retirement Plan Agent and is able to practice before the Internal Revenue Service on behalf of clients with regards to retirement plan matters. John graduated from the University of Mississippi with a B.B.A. degree and from the University of Memphis with an M.B.A. degree in finance.

Kelly Hulsey

Before joining Burleigh Consulting Group in 2003, Kelly worked for three years as a pension administrator with a retirement plan consulting firm in Louisiana. Kelly graduated from Hendrix College with a B.A. degree in business and economics.

Mary Ellen Kemker

Job Titles:
  • Pension Administrator
Mary Ellen has 25 years of experience in the pension field, handling all aspects of retirement plan administration. Before joining Burleigh Consulting Group in 2006, she worked in trust banking, actuarial consulting and in-house corporate plan administration. Mary Ellen graduated from the University of Memphis with a B.S. in mathematics, with a concentration in statistics.

Nancy Cantrell Cochran

Job Titles:
  • Girl Scout Member
Nancy graduated from Roanoke College with a bachelor's degree in mathematics and received a Master of Education degree from the University of Memphis. Nancy joined Burleigh Consulting Group when the firm was established in 1981. Nancy is a member ASPPA and earned the society's designation of Certified Pension Consultant in 1987. She has over 35 years in the employee benefits field. Nancy is a lifetime Girl Scout member, and a prior Council President for the Heart of the South Girl Scout Council. She is currently a member of the council's Board of Directors and the Community Advisory Board.

Natalie Moran

Prior to joining Burleigh Consulting Group as a pension administrator in January 2023, Natalie worked as a Senior Accountant for Hollywood Feed and nexAir. Natalie graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.A. in Art History. She attended the University of Memphis for graduate level accounting classes. In her spare time, Natalie enjoys traveling, reading, and taking care of her 3 dogs, 2 cats, and 1 horse.

Robert C. Burleigh

Robert was a lifelong Memphian who graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor of Arts degree and from the University of Memphis with a law degree. He developed an expertise and passion for helping small and mid-sized companies with their retirement benefits, ultimately building his own company in 1981 that became Burleigh Consulting Group. He loved his work and remained an active contributor to our firm up until his passing on November 9, 2020. Robert was a member of the tax section of the American Bar Association, a C.L.U., completed the enrolled actuarial exams and was an active member of the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA).

Sean Thomas

Job Titles:

Sean is a graduate of the University of Memphis with an accounting degree from the Fogelman College of Business and Economics. He has worked in public accounting for more than a decade with a background in 401(k) plan audits. He joined Burleigh Consulting Group as a plan administrator in November 2022. During his free time, Sean loves traveling with his beautiful wife and shopping for unique antiques. When in town, he enjoys hanging with family and friends, playing golf and tennis when time allows and lounging with their four cats. Sean is also a longtime member of Bellevue Baptist Church, who endeavors to follow the two great commandments.

Susan Anderson

Prior to joining Burleigh Consulting Group as a plan administrator in 2019, Susan worked in accounting and human resources in a variety of industries. She holds a B.S. in business management from Christian Brothers University and an M.B.A. from Union University. In 2022, Susan earned the Qualified 401(k) Plan Administrator designation awarded by ASPPA. She is also certified as a Professional in Human Resources through HRCI.

Tim Shanklin

Tim joined Burleigh Consulting Group in 2004. His prior experience ranges from regulatory auditor to cost accountant. As an ASPPA accredited Certified Pension Consultant and a Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor, Tim understands that business owners and their advisors are constantly faced with challenges; therefore, providing timely and relevant guidance on retirement plan matters is highly valued. Tim graduated from Murray State University with a B.S. degree in finance. Tim is an annual volunteer at the FedEx St. Jude Classic and has been on a team for several international mission trips. He spends his free time enjoying family outings and rounds of golf.

Tristan Barton

Tristan graduated in 2019 from Christian Brothers University with a B.S. in Natural Science and subsequently worked as a systems analyst for the UMRF FedEx Command Center. He joined Burleigh Consulting Group in 2021 as an intern, later transitioning to a plan administrator. In 2023, Tristan earned the Qualified 401(k) Plan Administrator designation awarded by ASPPA. He is also a musician of over 13 years with experience as a guitarist, bassist, songwriter, and arranger.
