The Central Valley Project was conceived in 1999 as a means to preserve 19th Century silver-based photography through its practice, exhibition, and education. Today we offer courses through out Berlin, Europe, and the US specializing in Wet-Plate Collodion, and Salted Paper and Albumen Printing... The Central Valley Project of Berlin, Germany (Deutschland) is a photographic studio specializing in Wet-Plate Collodion (positives (Ambrotypes Tintypes) and glass negatives), as well as Albumen and Salted Paper Printing. The Central Valley Project offers Wet-Plate Collodion, Albumen Salted Paper printing, portraiture (Ambrotypes Tintypes, and glass negatives) as well as historical printing services including Albumen, Salted Paper, Orotones, Opaltones, and black white Silver Gelatin prints.
