Calvin is a former member of the Syracuse City School District Board of Education. Former Commissioner Corriders was first elected to the Board of Education in November of 1999. He was re-elected in 2003, 2007; appointed 2011; for another term. He served as the Board's President and Vice President in his over 14 years of service as well as the Budget and Finance committee chair, the Curriculum committee chair, and the Facilities committee chair. Calvin has garnered numerous community, banking, and service awards for all of the volunteer and professional work that he has done for over 30 years. Most recently, he received the Charles Dozier Public Service Award and the HSBC Community Banker Award. He is a lifetime resident of the City of Syracuse, having attended Dr. Martin Luther King Elementary, Roosevelt Junior High School, and Henninger High School. He then went on to graduate from The State University at Brockport with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. Dr. Dykes is a native of Syracuse and alumnus of Upstate's MD/PhD program. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency and fellowships in spine surgery and trauma surgery in Minneapolis, MN, and subsequently earned his law degree from William Mitchell College of Law. He is an alumnus of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Health Policy Fellowship and served as a senior health policy advisor in the United States Congress and Food and Drug Administration before returning to Upstate on the orthopedic surgery faculty. Dr. Dykes' clinical, research, teaching and administrative priorities focus on legislative and regulatory health policy, administrative law, health quality and health equity.

Eric Allyn is former Chairman of the Board of Directors of Welch Allyn, Inc, a company owned by the Allyn Family for 100 years. In September of 2015, as a result of tremendous consolidation in health care, Welch Allyn sold to Hill-Rom, a larger public company. Since the sale, Eric has helped transition his family from an operating family to a financial family; this includes managing, advising, and overseeing investments held by family members outright, in Trust, and by The Allyn Family Foundation. Outside of his work with his family, Eric also serves on the Board of Health Care Originals; serves as LP Advisor to Armory Square Ventures; and serves on the Investment Committee of a Private Trust Company in Florida (unrelated to the Allyn Family). In addition, Eric is Founder and Managing Partner of two private Investment Funds, which he has managed since 2011. Eric is a past board member at GOJO (makers of Purell), Pharma Tech Industries, Eagle Dream Health, Hand-Held Products, The Gifford Foundation (Investment Committee Chairman), NYS Business Council, and Family Firm Institute (FFI). James E. Sparkes - Chairman

James E. Sparkes, JD, MA was appointed Interim Chair of the Upstate Medical University Council in December 2018. As a Council Member for twenty years Mr. Sparkes has served four Upstate Presidents and will Chair the 2020 Presidential Search Committee. He has served on two prior Upstate Medical University Presidential Search Committees as well as Medical School Dean, Hospital CEO and Nursing School Dean Search Committees and several ad hoc committees of Upstate. His numerous civic and professional engagements include the National Board of Trustees For the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, CNY Chapter President of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Chair of the New York State Attorney Grievance Committee of the Fourth Judicial Department and a lifetime appointment to the Committee on Character and Fitness for Admission to the New York Bar. Nancy Daoust

Nancy Daoust serves as the primary liaison and point of coordination between ambulatory operations and all other University Departments, governmental agencies and community constituencies on a wide range of clinical, programmatic and/or administrative functions. Daoust has served in numerous roles at Upstate, including as chief administrative officer for the Community Campus, where she assisted in the transition of the campus to Upstate and oversaw the expansion and introduction of new services, like the Family Birth Center, Transitional Care Unit and outpatient clinics, such as Midwifery, Vascular, Family Medicine and ENT.

Patricia J. Numann, MD serves as the alumni representative to the Upstate Council. She has spent her entire medical education and career at SUNY Upstate, graduating in 1965. She trained in general surgery and joined the faculty rising to the Lloyd S Rogers Professor of Surgery prior to her retirement in 2007. She has been on the Alumni board since 1978, serving as President and receiving their Distinguished Alumni award. Her clinical interest was in Endocrine and breast surgery. Her academic interest was in Surgical education. Her social cause was empowerment of women. She founded the Association of Women Surgeons and served as its first President. She has also served as President of the Association for Surgical Education and the American College of Surgeons. She has been honored to receive the SUNY Distinguished Teaching Professor And The SUNY Distinguished Service Professor designation as well as an Honorary Doctor of Science Degree from SUNY Upstate. She enjoys honorary Fellowship in the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow, Edinburgh and Thailand. She was awarded the International Society of Surgeon Prize and the American College of Surgeons Lifetime Achievement award.

Serving as CEO, Dr. Corona also is the Chief Innovation Officer and Associate Dean for Industry and Academic Relations. As an endowed chair for the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, his role includes leadership of the CNY Biotechnology Accelerator and the Upstate Cord Blood Bank. Dr. Corona is board certified by the American Board of Pathology in neuropathology, clinical informatics and anatomic pathology. Dr. Corona is the chief executive officer of Upstate Medical University Hospital and Community Hospital. He continues his academic role as John B Henry Endowed Professor of Experimental Pathology and Senior Associate Dean of Clinical Affairs. Stephen J. Glatt, Ph.D., is trained as an experimental psychologist and genetic epidemiologist. He received his Bachelor's degree in biology and psychology from Syracuse University, and a Ph.D. in experimental psychology from Northeastern University in Boston, MA. He then completed two years of postdoctoral training in psychiatric genetic epidemiology at the Harvard School of Public Health and Harvard Medical School before taking his first faculty position in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of California, San Diego.
