Andy Lane

Andy Lane is an expert from the Containerised Transportation industry, with deep-rooted experiences in Liner Shipping & Container Terminal Operations, and specialises in the interface between these two elements of the transport chain. With more than 20 years of leadership experience in the industry, Andy has deep insights into the complexities of global supply chains and has experienced the dynamics associated with being sustainably profitable in an asset heavy industry, where the only direct control possible, is through the control of one's own costs. He has led or has been closely involved with many process improvements, business integrations and cost efficiency initiatives, often focusing on annual spends in excess of USD500 million. Andy is able to guide and lead Shipping Lines or Ports/Terminals in the following areas: Advising on commercial and strategic Port/Terminal matters Improving Container Terminal and Liner Shipping Operations performance Institutionalising Continuous Improvement programs and leading Process Excellence projects Defining and implementing Business Performance Management systems

Charles Moret

Job Titles:
  • Founder of Oceo Trade
Educated as Captain and Chief Engineer, Charles dedicated his career to the shipping industry. After a few years at sea, he stopped navigating to create a ship owning entity and worked with ships management, fleet and operation management. Later he became General Manager of network design, responsible for the global deployment of Maersk Line ships, strategic planning and assets investments. He was deeply involved in the takeover of PONL by Maersk Line, merging the network, calculating the synergies, and coordinating the cutover. Charles also developed the first strategic planning liner network optimisation application, determining the most optimal set of volumes & revenues matching the network having the lowest cost. Charles hold senior leadership positions as Managing Director of several countries for Maersk Line, growing the business by empowering organizations to deliver through continuous improvements. During his leadership experience, he enjoyed amongst other to coach talents, restructure organisations, and deliver cost efficiency initiatives. Charles is also the founder of Oceo Trade and Oceo Talent, an independent consultancy company focusing on improving the performance of shipping and providing recruitment services to the Industry.

Henrik Jepsen

Henrik is an accomplished and solid CFO with more than 20 years of hands-on financial management experience from various industries including Container Shipping, Port and Container Terminal Operations, Manufacturing and Auditing. Henrik is educated at Copenhagen Business School and at Probana Business School, both in Denmark, and at IMD in Switzerland. He has spent more than 15 years in leadership positions in emerging markets in Eastern Europe, Africa, the Middle East, India and West Central Asia, where he has gained significant experience with Performance Management, Cost Reduction and Turn-Around Management, Change Management, Procurement, Organizational Restructuring and General Management. During his career Henrik has been deeply involved in due diligence work, and development and execution of business cases for significant investments in greenfield, brownfield and operational ports and container terminals. He has played a key role in the preparation and execution of an IPO for a port in India, the integration of acquired businesses into existing portfolios, implementation of ERP systems, risk management, and business strategy development and implementation to name just a few areas of expertise.
