Dr. Achala is a general dentist with 18 years of experience. She graduated from India (Mumbai University) in 2005 and practised there for a few years before moving to Australia. She completed her Australian Dental Council exams in 2010 and has been practicing in Gold Coast for the past 10 years. She acquired Paradise Smiles Dental Surgery in 2016 and has since been passionately involved in growing up the practice. Achala has a vast experience working with all age groups. Her gentle and caring attitude is welcomed by her patients and is beneficial to those with high anxiety in relation to dental treatment. She can also provide dental treatment under happy gas (nitrous oxide sedation). She practices all aspects of general dentistry which includes preventative, restorative and cosmetic dental treatments like tooth coloured fillings, veneers, crowns and bridges, teeth whitening, mouthguards, scale and polish and minor orthodontic correction with Invisalign Go. When she is not working at the dental practice, she loves to spend time with her family which includes her husband, daughter and a little dog.
Nazir has been in general practice for 40 years, both overseas and in Brisbane. . He obtained a bachelor of Dental Surgery Degree at the University Of Birmingham, England in 1980. He has been involved in Dental Association affairs for 15 years and has extensive experience in all aspects of dentistry. He has a special interest in minimal intervention and preventative dentistry, periodontal and gum health and how this affects general health holistically, crown and bridgework and root canal treatments. His other specialty is "Dental Sleep Medicine" and is able to provide SNOREPRO device for the treatment of snoring.
